Before booking with me as a pet sitter, there are several important things to know: First, check my availability to ensure that I can accommodate your pet's needs, including dates, times, and duration of care. My Husband and I are both full-time working professionals, So occasionally that may affect our availability. My husband works for home 4 days a week and I work from home 2 days a week. So, generally speaking, we have coverage throughout the week to treat your fur babies like family. Prepare to discuss your pet's daily routine, including feeding times, exercise needs, and any specific habits or preferences they have. The more I know about your pets the better I can cater to their needs. I want to know it all. Good and the bad. If you lie to me about a dog's behavior, it makes it a lot more challenging on the dog, me, and puts stress on you as the owner. I've had owners tell me that the dogs do very well on leash and know their commands only to find out when I go take them for a walk the opposite... If your dog is an escape artist I need to know that before I let them out in my backyard and never see them again. That's never happened, ever, while taking care of another's dog, but you get my point. The more I know, the better the stay and the less likely there will be a problem. Trust me. I can handle it. Be sure to share important information about your pet's health, any medical conditions, allergies, and behavioral quirks that I should be aware of. If your dog is allergic to poultry and someone drops a piece of chicken on the floor by accident, I need to know that in case your dog gets to it. Finally, as I have mentioned before, I do meet and greets before every booking. I rarely waver on this. This is so that you know that I'm legit and I know that you're legit. It also gives us the chance to get to know one another and to make sure that we're a good fit for each other. By addressing these points in advance, you can ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for both your pet and me as your pet sitter. I don't usually have, or foresee having, any issues with your pets stay with me, but I like to cover my bases.

As a pet sitter, I offer enjoyable activities for the dogs I care for. Some of our favorite adventures include games of fetch in the backyard, walks through scenic trails (if we're out and about), and plenty of toys to play with. I also enjoy exploring new routes around the neighborhood to keep things exciting. Every dog is unique, so I tailor our activities to their specific needs. We make every dog a part of our family. We allow our dogs on the furniture so we'll allow your dogs on the furniture. We allow our dogs in bed and if your dog is good will allow them in bed with us too. Sometimes. Well stay up late watching movies cuddling with our dogs. We'll cuddle with yours too! For those dogs that are good with people and our socialized, we do very well with them. We leave them out when we have company. We introduce them as if they're a guest staying in our home. For those dogs that need extra care, who are maybe timid or not a socialized, or have social anxieties... We cater to their needs as well. Sometimes they have to remain separate from other dogs and people. Sometimes you have to spend extra time in care with them. In my experience, every animal is capable of love. Some can just be a little harder to work with than others. Equipped with an arsenal of tools ranging from treats to medical supplies, leashes to harnesses to toys and crates, I ensure every pup under my care receives tailored attention and support. Recognizing individual needs such as bladder control issues, leash training, or food aggression, I adapt my approach accordingly, prioritizing positive reinforcement techniques while also being adept with tools like e-collars and prong collars when necessary. In this field, flexibility is key, and I understand that every dog is unique. I firmly believe in the importance of not adhering to a one-size-fits-all philosophy, rejecting the notion that any singular method is superior. Instead, I advocate for a holistic approach that prioritizes the well-being and happiness of both the dog and the owner. So, whether it's teaching new behaviors or addressing undesirable ones, I'm committed to providing effective, ethical, and compassionate care that fosters a pleasant relationship between pets and sitter while animals are in my care.
