Gen Z hotel for pups!

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Samara. I have lived with cats and dogs since small and been pet sitting for around 5 years. At my home you can be assured your pet will be given the silver service! I am very attentive and love to make them feel like royalty. Any dogs staying with me will likely come with me when I go out (usually cafes) so please let me know if there's anywhere they aren't a fan of and I can arrange for them to stay indoors safely. Low activity pooches and cats who just need company may be happy to sit with me while I work. More active dogs could enjoy playing at Telegraph Hill or Hilly Fields during my breaks (walks are usually around 1 hour but can be up to 2). I have looked after dogs as small as chihuahas to as big as boxers. I have some toys for dogs and always happy to bring some treats along on walks if you are okay with me doing so. Please contact me if you would like to arrange a meeting. I am very friendly so please don't be shy about asking any questions or making requests as I will likely be very happy to accommodate! Dogs are allowed on furniture to snuggle but if this is a big nono in your home I will also remain consistent with this rule.

Our dog stayed with Samara for 8 nights and it is clear that he was well-cared for during that time. She is quick to respond and sent pictures as requested. Our pup came home happy as ever and I would recommend Samara to anyone looking for a loving home while they are away.

Samara took great care of our pup (and our flat) while we were away on holiday. She was always quick to respond and gave regular updates. She was very considerate to our dog’s unique care requirements (who can be a bit antisocial) and we could tell that Bow took to her immediately / felt at ease with her. Would definitely recommend!

Samara was great with our very young puppy. She’s was very communicative, sending us frequent updates and looked after him very well. Would definitely recommend for any sitting needs.

Samara was absolutely brilliant with my dog. It was our first experience of leaving Eddie and Samara kept us completely at ease and updated. Eddie loved her and didn’t want her to leave!

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, pets are welcome to be on furniture unless stated by you that this is not allowed. I usually set up a small corner of my home especially for them so they have somewhere to feel comfortable. I am happy to use their beds or a small blanket. In your own home I am happy to go with the flow of whatever your pet usually does to make themselves comfortable!

Information Samara W. would like to know about your pet

It would be extremely helpful for me to know wether your dog has any behavioural issues, is a 'nipper' or is likely to tug on my clothing. These things aren't dealbreakers but failure to disclose this to me beforehand will leave me unsure of how I should respond to this behaviour and if it is because of stress or aggression or just how your dog plays.

A typical day

At around 7.30am I let dogs out to pee in the garden. I wake up, shower etc and then around 8.30/9am we go for a 1hour walk where running and playing is encouraged. When we come back I will hide some treats/dry food around the house and we will rest until around 1pm and then play for 30 mins or so before heading on our second walk. The afternoon will be spent either doing errands or working indoors and chilling out. The third walk will be around 6pm and 30mins-1hr depending on energy levels. If staying over we will also do a quick loop around the block before bed. Garden is always accessible for pees and poos!

Availability

I work from home but also enjoy getting out of the house a lot. If you are happy for me to do so, your dog will probably come with me to run errands if suitable and sit in an outdoors space. Or we will be at home snuggled up! I make sure pets are stimulated whilst I work by hiding small treats around for them to find or setting up a puzzle toy. When they seem bored of this it's usually time for me to take a break so we will play if they seem receptive to this.
