Hello! I’m Sam, and I own Herd it Hikes- a pet care business that specializes in trail time! I’ve been petsitting and dog walking on and off for about 14 years now and decided to go full time in 2023. I have two dogs of my own, a Kelpie and a Cattle Dog Mix, that keep me on my toes and have taught me a lot about training and how dogs interact with each other. They’re too smart for their own good, so I’ve learned how to work their brains and keep them engaged. Which is something I like to do with clients dogs as well, especially out on hikes! I’m a big believer in doing what the dog(s) like best- whether that be hanging out sunbathing in the yard, playing tug or fetch, taking them for a hike or working their brain for some treats. I’m familiar with all breeds, temperaments, sizes and energy levels. I can also administer medications if needed and most other special requests.
