Call me Sam! Nice to meet you. - Project Manager for a large Food/Beverage company - I work bicoastally 50/50. When I'm in the Bay Area, I turn on Rover Housesitting or I stay with family and friends. - Seasoned family dog owner; dog auntie to many; Rover sitter for 4+ years - Experience with all ages, sizes and types. If your dog and I don’t have a BFF hand shake and song and dance by the time my stay is over, mercury is in retrograde. I'm not a dog trainer but I've been taught / self-taught through experience how to read dog's behavior and manage depending on how they are feeling, examples being: protective of their home when I first come in; not friendly with other dogs; playing too roughly; and other nuances. I'm patient and get to know the dog so we can have our best time together.

Sam was so amazing pet and housesitting for us!! She sent wonderful updates every day and took such great care of our dog and house. It's clear she knows what she's doing when caring for animals, our husky loved her!

A typical day
- I love walking/running. If your dog likes exercise, we're a match made in heaven. I’m a big fan of Lake Merritt and Jack London Sq, but depending on where you live, I'll go on your usual route or we'll explore on our own. - I talk to pets like they're people, so we will have a lot of animated conversations - fun for everyone. - I like to take lots of pictures and videos and send them via Rover - it's a good way to capture your pup feeling safe and happy, and that's the main goal.

Availability
PLEASE NOTE! I work on-site at the office in Emeryville most days 9-5 so need pets who are used to & okay with being home alone for the workday. - Let's talk through a normal routine and see if I need to shorten my workday or I can run home (if 15-20 min drive) and give a lunchtime potty break. Pups need to be able to manage at minimum 4 hours between potty breaks so I can facilitate my work schedule!
