Pet care experience
I have spent the last 12 years with my 2 dogs Ari and Uzi, who both passed away due to health issues this past year. It has been hard to get used to them being gone, but knowing my contribution to their lives by making them as healthy and happy as possible is what keeps me going. My goal with Rover is to be able to help others with pets when needed to contribute the same as I did to my dogs, with love and compassion.
Reviews
We had Samantha housesit for our 2 dogs while we were away and felt totally at ease. This was our first time using Rover for housesitting and we were very pleased. She provided us with frequent updates throughout the day with photos on how they were doing. One of our pups is extremely shy/scared of most everyone and she worked with him to build his trust. We definitely would recommend her and we will be using her in the future for housesitting!
Samantha was so communicative and reliable! I felt so confident in leaving my cat in her care while I was out of the country!
As always, Samantha is very communicative and does so well with our dog and cats.

I strive to maintain the ideal environment for your pet weather it’s a drop- in visit in your home, taking them on a walk or having an overnight visit with them. My top priority is making your fur baby feel comfortable in their own home and on walks in the same way that you would be taking care of them. I believe my experience taking care of my two boys, Ari and Uzi with feeding them, playing with them, and walking them will carry on to your pet.

Let me know if there are any behaviors or special needs I should know about such as any aggressive or scared behavior towards other dogs, any medication that they will need while I am taking care of them, or a dog that requires more of my care such as a senior or special needs dog, which I will be more than happy to accommodate. I want to make sure to keep your pet as safe and happy as possible! I will follow all instructions given to me prior to the visit to ensure this. I’d also love to know what their favorite toy/activity is so that I can implement that into my visit/walk with them!
A typical day
I will be happy to engage with your dogs favorite activity such as running around in the backyard with them or playing tug-of-war with their favorite toy (and of course giving them some snuggles and pets as long as they are comfortable.) I have lived in West Seattle for over 12 years so I am very familiar with all of the parks it has to offer, such as Lincoln park, Camp Long, Fairmount Park, Schmitz Park, etc. so I’d love to explore these areas more with your dog if they get along with other dogs, or enjoy a nice walk in the neighborhood which I love to do in my free time as well.

Availability
I have 2 other jobs than Rover and am able to service Mondays-Fridays with certain weekends, and I am happy to work with your schedule and help as much as I can! I love to be able to work caring for pets when I have free time from my other jobs as it brings me joy being able to contribute to the health, happiness and safety of a pet.
