Lover of all dogs
Pet care experience
I started my own dog walking/sitting business in 2016 because of my love for dogs and caring for them. Neighbors, friends and family all have counted on me to take care of their dogs and I have made many friends throughout this process. I absolutely love dogs and even as a college student, I want to continue to take care of them to the best of my abilities.
Reviews
She was amazing with my dog while I was out of town! Very trustworthy and sent lots of pictures and updates! Highly recommend!
Sam was great! She was communicative and really gave us peace of mind throughout the entire time we were gone. She made us feel like our sweet pups were in good hands. I would absolutely book her again for any future puppy sitting needs!
Samantha watched our dog Copper and took care of our home for five days. She was very responsible, sent us a lot of pictures, and allowed us to relax on our vacation. I would definitely recommend her to anyone because she did a fantastic job!
Samantha was amazing!! I had a last minute booking and she was so accommodating, as I had last minute changes as well. I loved the communication and pictures she sent when she saw my puppy!

Although I am a college student, I have a lot of free time in between classes that I can go and spend time with your dog(s). In that time, I will ensure they are walked, played with, fed (if needed), and have extra attention. I will clean up any messes made and ensure the house is locked upon exiting the house each time and your dog is secured in their crate if need be. I also look at your dog's overall attitude towards me. If they are shy, I will spend extra time getting to know them, so they feel more comfortable with me. If they are scared, I will go slowly at introducing myself to ensure they are comfortable around me. The last thing I want to do is make your dog feel uncomfortable in their own home. I care a lot about animals and want your dogs to feel the most comfortable around me.
Information Samantha S. would like to know about your pet
Some things that I find important to know when watching a dog are their age, so I know the typical energy level to expect, and any other behaviors, injuries, or medications your dogs have. I believe it is also important to understand how your dog does around other dogs and other people. If your dog is particularly scared of men, I would like to know, and if your dog does not do good around other dogs, I would like to know to ensure that nothing happens while I am taking care of your dog. My top priority is making sure both you and your dog are comfortable around me so any information that will help that is always appreciated!
A typical day
One of my favorite activities to do with dogs is giving them long walks. I plan to walk them around James Madison University, bring them to parks such as the arboretum, and, if they are especially friendly around dogs, bring them to a nearby dog park by the SPCA. Along with this, I will make sure to play with your dogs and give them some extra love. If I am not staying at your home, I always make sure to spend extra time with the dogs themselves to ensure they will be ok overnight and throughout the day. I make sure to look at the dogs behavior and energy levels and assess what they need. Tired dogs may want to be played with inside or to go for a short walk outside and some training afterwards. Hyper dogs will need longer walks and some play time added on. Overall, I will make sure your dog is exerted of energy and spends enough time outside.

I currently volunteer at the SPCA through a club at JMU called DukesForDogs. This club allows me to walk dogs and hangout with them throughout the day. I try to go multiple times a week for multiple hours to give as many dogs as possible a chance to be walked. Back home, I still dog sit and walk dogs for those who need it.
