Your dogs favorite Sitter!
Pet care experience
I graduated from the University of Delaware and received a degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources and a minor in Animal Science. As I figure out my next career move I would love to help you and take care of your furry family member! I’ve been dog sitting/walking for over 10 years and in college I was in the club Puppy Raisers of UD (PRoUD) and would puppy sit for dogs in training to become guide dogs for The Seeing Eye. Since graduating I have been actively dog sitting/walking as well as doing cat visits. I love animals and will stop whatever I am doing to pet a dog; I can spot a dog a mile away, I’m obesssed!!! Your dog will get lots of love, cuddles and attention when they’re in my care. I currently have a Pit Bull and before her I had a Golden Retriever so between those two and my other clients I have experience with all breeds of dogs. I am in very good shape and can handle dogs of all sizes as well as be continuously active with your doggo! I love dogs and I’ll love your dog too :)
Reviews
Samantha is absolutely amazing and loving with my dog. We love her. She went beyond our expectations.
Sam cared for our dog child like she was her own! She send us updates and pictures every time she stopped by and we knew our dog was being well cared for.
Samantha was great! I was able to go away feeling confident my dog was in good care. She was responsive, prompt and professional. Will definitely rely on her again to watch my dog.
Samantha is an excellent dog caregiver. She arrives within the agreed time slot. Bandit loves when she visits and goes for walks.

Safety, trust & environment
I never ever let a dog(s) in my care interact with another dog or person. Unless the family has explicitly stated otherwise my motto is if the other person/dog do not know the dog(s) in my care, then it’s better to be safe then sorry and I will kindly inform the person that they/their dog can not greet ‘my’ dog. I take safety extremely seriously and would never want to put your dog or someone else’s dog at risk. I also don’t participate in any off-leash activities with the dog unless it is in the family’s fenced-in yard (electric fences vary). Even if you say it’s okay, I do not feel comfortable taking your dog to a dog park, etc. where the dogs safety could be out of my control.
Information Samantha S. would like to know about your pet
Any dog/people aggression to be aware about especially while out on walks, what are the signs, things to do and things to avoid. Also how long your dog can honestly be left home alone. I would never leave your dog alone for an extended period of time but with COVID/quarantine some dogs are not use to being left alone for longer than 2-3 hours and depending on my schedule I might have to be away for closer to 4 hours and I would never want to put stress on the dog or myself by doing so if they aren’t use to it.
A typical day
I love a good cuddle with a dog as much as the next person but I also understand that some dogs have higher energy levels (or simply don’t like to cuddle!) so I enjoy many different ways to burn off that energy! Going for walks around the neighborhood is a given, throwing the ball/frisbee in the backyard is one of my favorites, I also enjoy working on basic commands with (owner approved) treats, and if the dog is a fan of the car then going for a nice drive with the windows down is always fun!
