I have always had an intense love for animals my entire life. My desire to work with large animals led me to the decision to attend Florida Southern College. I grew up raising goats, cats, and dogs on my grandparent’s farm. I have learned quite a bit through study and observation on the care of these animals. I also have grown up with lots of animals as pets at my house. Back in Tennessee I have a dog that is 13 years old and I just recently adopted a dog from the SPCA in 2018. I have had several cats over the years, a rabbit, and a squirrel just to name a few. People in my hometown know my love for animals and I have been called upon several times to help tend to sick animals or to take them in until they could find a furever home. I have taken dogs in to watch while their families were out of town. I have run a taxi service to pick up animals from their homes to take them to vet appointments and groomers, because their owners were at work. I have gone to people’s homes to feed and water their pets if they needed. I also love the outdoors, so any chance I get to be outside I will take it.
