Hi! I'm Sam. I’m a recent college grad and I’m back home in NYC, looking forward to being your dog's new best friend! Not only have I been dog walking/sitting for over two years now, but I’ve had a dog for my whole life and have always been surrounded by my friends and other family members' dogs who I have spent time walking/dogsitting as well. Additionally, I’ve lived in a home with cats for the past few years in college, so I have ample capability to care for cats as well. I have a huge passion for animals and will do whatever you need for your dog to stay happy and healthy :) I am more than happy to be there to walk your pet when it needs to go out or even stay and hang out with it when it needs the company for a few hours! I love trying to teach dogs new tricks and especially taking them to the park to play. I can't wait to always be a reliable and fun companion for your dog when you are not there to be with them :)

I have my own dog so visits in my home will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. My dog, Bear, is very friendly and loves to play with other dogs, so it’s just a matter if your pet is a right fit. Otherwise, I’m more than happy to drop by your place to care for your pet. If it requires an overnight stay, I’d like to get some information from you first about the details before confirming.

The most important things for me to know are whether a dog is comfortable around other dogs, and whether or not they are particularly high or low energy. This is important in determining routes/destinations/activities! Other than that, any special needs or medications would also be helpful to know and just some other general information about your dog you feel is relevant to share!
A typical day
I have experience with different types of dogs at different energy levels, and am ready to adapt to whatever your dog is comfortable with doing! Depending on the area, I would love to take them to a dog park, but I also love to just walk the dog around the neighborhood! If the dog isn't as comfortable around other dogs, I will make sure to stay along less crowded streets so they don't feel overwhelmed.

Availability
I am hoping to dog walk/sit as much as I can as I hunt for a full-time job. With that being said, dog walking and sitting is my primary priority as of now. I will make sure to keep my schedule updated when something comes up but as of now, my schedule is open to take care of your pets!
