Pet care experience
I'm a former middle school teacher for Yes Prep and a Rice University graduate and now work as a social sciences researcher. I've grown up with dogs my entire life and during college had an extremely energetic Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix who is the reincarnation of Airbud. Unfortunately I'm unable to have a dog of my own right now but I'm so excited to meet your pup! My mom worked for a Weimaraner Rescue so we typically fostered 3-4 dogs at a time and I can handle multiple dogs and dogs with behavioral quirks like anxiety and skittishness. She also worked at an upscale dog boarding center, where I used to come help her manage 40-50 dogs at a time. During college, I volunteered several times at the Houston Humane Society. I live in the Montrose area and am familiar with safe walking routes and dog parks in the Montrose/West U/Midtown/Museum District area.

Samantha took excellent care of our two dogs while we were away. We have a 17 year old Shih-Tzu and a 8 year old beagle. Our senior dog requires more care with his advanced age and takes a lot of medication. We feel Samantha did an excellent job in this regard. She sent multiple pictures of the dogs while watching them and we felt comfortable knowing the dogs were in Samantha's care. Would highly recommend Samantha to anyone reading this review.
Samantha was wonderful in watching my dog! Provided updates and was promptly on time for last minute changes. Will be considering again!
Samantha was absolutely wonderful watching my dog over the Thanksgiving holidays. She was a great house guest, sent photos & updates throughout her stay and even took my dog running since she knew I'm a runner. Made it easier to be away knowing my dog was able to relax and be herself at home! Would love to have Samantha watch her again anytime!
She did fine. Sam sent updates and our dog seemed fine. However, we weren't pleased with the way she left our house. No problems with our dog, which is our main priority, but not happy with her lack of cleanliness.

I want to know as much detail as you can give me! At a minimum, I would like to know their behavior on a leash, their experience and comfort on walks, in dog parks, etc. Any triggers for anxiety or aggression (for example, my childhood dog was terrified of men but loved women and children), specific training commands you use, and barking habits. I also want to know your dog's favorite toys and games, how they prefer to receive love, and any other relevant info.
A typical day
I love to run and can tire out an energetic pup by running with them on the Buffalo Bayou trail, in Hermann Park, or Memorial Park. On Houston'a gloomier days or for furry friends who prefer to stay at home, I'm a great tug of war and fetch partner.
