Pet care experience
I adore dogs and cats and have raised and cared for different breeds and sizes since I was 10 years old. I look forward to watching my friends/family’s pets while they’re away on vacation or stuck at work. I also have experience caring for puppies/kittens where I focus on them being socialized and supervised, as well as caring for aging senior pets who enjoy a calm environment and like their routine. It’s very important to me your pet feels loved when you can’t be there and that you have peace of mind knowing they’re in great hands.

Samantha is the most gentle handed and minded person in my circle. She always greets my cats when she comes through my door even though she isn't there to see them. When my guinea pigs needed a foster home until I could find them a forever home Samantha jumped up to help out, took great care of the guinea pigs and fostered them until they were at their next home. Samantha is respectful of home rules when it comes to pets and works her hardest to respect the owners wishes in regards to care and attention
My yellow lab/Australian shepherd mix Jack, has fear based aggression and pulls bad when walking so it takes someone who is very comfortable and confident with dogs is all situations to handle him safely. We also have a 16 year old pointer dalmatian mix buddy that requires help up and down the stairs and special attention so he won't have accidents as he is going blind. Sam has walked and cared for my dogs the last 4 times we had to be away from home. I can not say enough how wonderful she did with both dogs they love her and always are taken care of amazingly.
Sam was great!! I’d never left my animals with someone before, but she made me feel so comfortable and confident that they’d be taken care of. She watched my rabbit (Oreo) and dog (Charlie) for a weekend and was amazing at communicating. She sent lots of pictures and updates every day. Not many people know how to care for a rabbit, but Sam went above and beyond to make sure Oreo was pampered just as much as Charlie. I’ll definitely be calling her again. Thank you Sam!
Sam is wonderful. Our pup is obsessed with her. We trust her with our pup 100% and would absolutely trust her to stay at our home when we’re away. She loves our animals like they are her own and we seriously couldn’t ask for a better person to take care of our animals.

My house is just a short walk away from the local playground/park and I also frequent the Bangor City Forest for more trails and adventure. My home is kid free and non smoking. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my puppy and after a full day of exploring we like to enjoy a calm evening inside working on training and obedience. Some snuggles on the couch while I read my book is the perfect way to end a great day spend with a furry friend.

I want to make a lasting connection with your pet so they can focus on playing and being happy, while I know exactly how they like to be cared for. Share with me their quirks and preferences. Are they good with other dogs and people? How to they feel about cats? Do they have any special needs/medications? Tell me about their routines. Car rides, walks, meal times and bedtime look different for every animal and it’s my goal to help keep those routines in place for them even when you can’t be there. A confident pet is a happy pet!
A typical day
I live in a beautiful dog-friendly neighborhood that has its own large park within walking distance from my house. It’s the perfect place to sniff, play frisbee and practice basic commands to exercise both body and mind. Weather permitting, a nice hike in the forest or swim in the lake out to camp is sure to tire out the most energetic pups. I like to end the day with a few healthy treats and lots of snuggles on the couch!
