Hi! My name is Samantha (or Sam) and I am a certified dog lover! I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have always been around animals. I live in Alexandria, VA with my boyfriend, Patrick, and our dog Willow. I have over 20 years of experience with dogs and can promise you the best care. I grew up with Doberman Pinschers, German Shorthaired Pointers, and Weimaraners so I am no stranger to hyperactive large dogs. Throughout the years I have watched my neighbors and friends dogs and it’s always been my pleasure. I love having an extra companion around to cuddle and spoil. I can walk your dog, run with your dog, watch your dog while you’re away, etc. Just let me know what I can do to assist you and your best friend!

Sam is great with my dog Max! We’ve stayed twice now and have a third visit already booked. She was attentive to him when he was experiencing some anxiety and always kept in touch with how he was doing through text / pictures.
Sam is fantastic! You will be at ease knowing that your dog will be safe and cared for. Your dog will be provided all the love, attention, play time and much more to keep their heart content. Willow (their pup) is an added bonus! Because she is so sweet, goofy and playful; your dog will throughly enjoy the time spent together being fur friends.
Samantha was very accommodating and caring to ensure both my dog Moira and her dog Willow had a good experience while she took care of Moira for three days. She recommended a one day doggy day care with her and Willow to test the waters. Glad to say I did and both Moira a Willow got along! The three days Moira was over Samantha’s place, I was very happy to see the many great pictures of Willow and Moira having a great time together! I recommend you give Samantha and Willow a call! You will not be disappointed.

Working from home allows me to give your dog extra time for care and attention. A lot of attention, love, and care are essential for any dog, especially those who suffer from separation anxiety. I always make sure dogs feel comfortable in my home by allowing them the space they need or extra attention. Every dog is different so I adapt to what their specific needs are. I find that being on a schedule has helped dog know when it’s time to eat, time for bed, or time to go outside. My dog is crate trained, but we only utilize the crate when it’s time for bed or we are leaving the house. If I am home my dog is always cuddled up next to me on the couch. We also have an outside fenced patio that I have my dog join us if we are sitting outside on the patio furniture enjoying the weather. I welcome all furbabies on my furniture and beds!

I would need to know if your dog is aggressive or uncomfortable around other dogs. My dog Willow, is very friendly but she, of course, is my first priority. Please let me know if your dog happens howl/bark/whine excessively. I have to be courteous to my neighbors and cannot have consistent barking. As long as your dog is well behaved and enjoys the company of another dog I am more than welcome to have them in my home!
A typical day
My neighborhood is extremely dog friendly and walkable! If taking them for a walk around the neighborhood doesn’t satisfy my dog I take her to her favorite dog park to burn more energy. We also love to have lazy days cuddling on the couch and giving belly rubs!

Availability
I work from home with flexibility throughout the day. The neighborhood I live in is very dog friendly and accessible for walking. My boyfriend and I try to include our dog, Willow, into almost every activity we do. If we want to go somewhere on the weekend we always try to find things to do that are dog friendly so we can bring our best friend along.
