Pet care experience
Growing up, my mother rescued dogs and was passionate about animal care, so I was surrounded by dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and sizes. On a large plot of land in the countryside, we would rehabilitate as many strays, accident victims, and furry friends who needed a home as we could. Since birth, I have grown up around dozens of dogs and taking extra good care of a pet who needs some special treatment has always been a part of daily life.

Sam is wonderful with my two dogs as well as my cat! She is loving, caring, and treats them as if they were her own. I really appreciate that she sends me pictures and videos of my pets while I’m on vacation. Overall, Sam’s efficiency, compassion, and kindness really shine through, and I always know my pets are in good hands when I leave them with her.
I love having Sam watch my cat, Rosalie! She is wonderful at keeping her entertained and is extremely attentive. Rosalie loves her, and since she is a former street cat, I trust her judgement!

I am in a ground-floor, large one-bedroom apartment in a dog friendly community. There is a dog park in my apartment complex, as well as multiple walkable trails, scenic outdoor hiking trails, and neighborhoods nearby to make sure your pet gets ample exercise and a fun and stimulating walk. I have lots of dog toys, safe brushes that I clean & disinfect after each use, and extra leashes of various lengths for my furry friends that stay with me!

Let me know if you know any things that your pet enjoys in terms of walks, toys, or how much affection they enjoy. If they have anything that will allow me to make them more comfortable, I’m more than willing to accommodate.
A typical day
One of my favorite things is to help a dog find the ways in which it is the most excited play! I have tons of toys to help a pup find what they’re excited about — for example, my previous Great Pyrenees that I adopted and nursed back to health seemed not to be excited about any rope toys, tennis balls, or squeaky toys; but he LOVED Kong Toys that could be filled with food and the slow-feeding was stimulating for him. He began to become more mobile once he found his favorite toy, and I helped him get back to a healthy weight and now he loves his daily walks and play time! I also love to go on various kinds of walks and explorations with a canine friend! From playing frisbee in the park with a high-energy friend, or going on a hike at my favorite places around town, or just a stroll through the neighborhood, I’m excited to have interactive play-time and walks with any canine friend, big or small.

Availability
I am currently finishing my last semester at school and have a very flexible schedule! I am available Monday and Wednesday mornings before 12:30 pm, M/T/W/Thrs after 3 pm, and Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are totally open.
