My name is Sam and I have had pets in my home all of my life. I've done a fair amount of pet-sitting since I was 10. Those pets were mostly dogs (of a variety of breeds), some cats, and one ferret. I have also fostered three young kittens for a summer as a teenager. I have experience in bathing dogs and cats and administering medication for them. I've always had a soft spot for animals and I love providing them care and affection. Along with the essentials, I will take time to play with and cuddle those dogs willing to do so. I would be respectful towards the property of the owner, of course. I would just love to care for your dog when you are not available to do so. I have been dog-sitting for friend's dogs over the span of about 20 years. I have also volunteered to walk dogs at animal shelter numerous times. Why I love dog sitting: I've always loved dogs. I had a few when I was really young, but I don't remember too much about them. The first dog I had that I remember most was Princess, a doberman-labrador. Since then, my family has had four dogs: Miguel, a lab; Scrappy a doberman-coonhound; and Taz, a Yorkshire terrier. I now have a loving pit-lab of my own to love and dote on. My family has also done a lot of pet-sitting over the years, mostly dogs. We fed, bathed, walked, and just generally took care of them, and I loved all of them! My experience administering medication: I've provided pills for cats and dogs, and applied ointments to wounds and stitches. As long as I know how to give the medication, I can usually adjust.
