I am an avid dog lover with a two year old Italian Greyhound (Olive) of my own, but we don't discriminate against our feline friends. Your pet is not just a guest in our home, but becomes part of our family. I have owned dogs my entire life and have been the primary caregiver for the last eight years. I own a duplex that is fully carpeted (a plus for our older companions) minus the kitchen and bathroom. We have a small fully fenced in yard with a large swing gate for potty breaks and playtime for small dogs. Walks in our neighborhood will be limited to our street (1/2 mile long) and last a minimum of 30 minutes, but can be longer on cooler times. We do spend a lot of time at the Lafreniere dog park, but I do prefer dogs to be well socialized, spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all shots prior to field trips. Lafreniere limits the size of dogs to 25 pounds maximum. These field trips are not a requirement, but Olive sure does love play dates with her friends and I'm sure yours will, too. I am available full time on Saturday and Sundays with flexible scheduling on Friday as needed. I do have a full time job as an engineer, so weekday stays are limited, but can be arranged. If this works for you, I leave for work around 8am and come home at 11am for a 30-45 min walk and return home by 4pm. We can coordinate how you would like your pet to spend his/her unsupervised time. Olive is limited to the living room/kitchen area with baby gates with full access to a large couch, doggie beds, pillows, blankets, plenty of water, and toys GALORE! Overnight stays during the week are welcome. Your pet can sleep wherever he or she pleases, even in our bed.
