Pet care experience
I’ve always been helping care for animals since I was a kid, from dog sitting for neighbors to caring for my own dog Daisy. Recently I have helped care for dogs of friends and family in a more professional sense. I can do some minor training, like teaching ‘sit’ or ‘back’ or using techniques to discourage jumping on people, however as I’m not a professional these tricks are still being worked on, I can only improve! But if you have a puppy in need of training I can help give them a solid starting place, a lot of training tips and tricks use Sit as a keystone. I can bathe smaller dogs, as my own dog isn’t the biggest fan of bathtime, but I may struggle with larger dogs or pets who have a major fear of bathtime.

Samantha is a wonderful young lady who loves animals!!! She has taken care of our dog Many times. Now that my husband has retired, we are doing more traveling. Samantha took care of our 3 very different dogs for 2 weeks. We have a golden retriever that is all play, a Pomeranian that thinks she is the queen of the world and mixed breed that was abused/neglected that is very timid. This would be a challenge for anyone. All of them had very different needs. She came to our house 4 times each day to feed/potty and spend time with them. She did an amazing job. Even our timid baby warmed up to her quickly. She is very reliable and dedicated to make sure she does everything just right (she went above and beyond). I can't say enough good things about Samantha. You and your pets would be lucky to have her look after your fur babies. Five Stars.

When staying at a clients home I try and visit every two to four hours to let the dogs go potty, I tend to hang around there for an hour or three so the dogs have a chance to relax and spend time with me. When I dog sat for a family friend I always made sure to; hang around for a few hours before and after feeding the dogs, checking in on them for at least two hours to make sure they went to the bathroom and had a walk, made my last visit later at night to make sure everyone was okay and went to the bathroom before heading home myself. I’m flexible with this method depending on the dogs needs/owners concerns. I have currently not been majorly injured by any pets, the only moments that come to mind were do to my own lack of experience. But I can handle a few minor scrapes or bruises, I will inform you if the dog causes a major injury because of a behavior. And I will also inform you of any situations that occur, such as accidents or the dog getting into things. I will clean up accidents and handle situations to the best of my ability of course.

I’m a full time student in collage as well as an artist developing her craft, but I always make sure to have time to care for my pet, and even when pet sitting away from Home I make sure to make time to check in on the dogs.
