Pet care experience
I am a senior musical theatre major at Hardin-Simmons University who absolutely adores animals! I have a cat of my own on-campus with me, an American Shorthair named Wednesday, as well as two family pets back home - a Westie named Max and a Persian named GinGin. Throughout high school and college, I’ve provided a variety of pet care in my neighborhood, walking dogs, caring for cats, and even feeding fish and lizards! I love getting to know everyone’s fur babies (and scale-y babies!) and would be honored to watch over your little guys! Each pet is so different and unique, but the one thing they all have in common is that they are wonderful friends. I can’t wait to meet your critters!

I will always feel at ease with Samantha taking care of our fur baby. He is very shy and wouldn’t come out for her, but she always sent me pictures of his food. Knowing that he was eating was very reassuring for us. Samantha is so responsive and easy to work with. She will always be my first choice!
Sami is amazing. We have two very active Border Collies (who know the word “BALL”!!) and they have such a good time when Sami pet sits, they seem disappointed when we come home! More importantly, they are happy and healthy when we return. We even get some fun pictures and videos while we’re gone. Side note, Sami is such a good photographer that one of her pics is my new screensaver! I wholeheartedly, without reservation, recommend Sami!

Sami it’s just wonderful. It made me so sad when she went to college,l because we always checked with her first to see if she could stay with our indoor cat TJ. She still does sometimes when she’s home on a break. When she is here with TJ, she sends us photos and keeps us up-to-date. One time, TJ had a nail that was bleeding, so she contacted us right away and I told her where the pet carrier was and she got him to the vet. Everything turned out OK, and she couldn’t have been more professional or competent. You will be so lucky if you’re able to get Sami to take care of your pet

I pay close attention to detail when it comes to the instructions you give me. I have experience giving medication as needed, and I have had to bring a cat I was sitting to the vet before. I have a cat of my own, so I’m sure to care for your baby as if they were my own!

I need to know if they have any health conditions and medications they need to take. I’d also like to know if they tend to take the reigns during walks, since I’m small and can be pulled by big dogs if not prepared!
A typical day
I’ll play fetch, tug-of-war, and any other games you tell me your dog likes! I’ve only lived in Abilene for a couple years, and only been driving in Abilene less than a year, so I don’t have any special places, but if there are any places your dog especially loves to go, let me know!

Availability
I’m a full-time student at HSU, so I can come visit your pals between my classes and rehearsals! I’m available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings before 10 and my classes are done by 2:30, and I am fully available on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Depending on whether or not I am in a show, I have rehearsals from 6:30-9:30, but most nights, I’m free in the evening!
