Pet care experience
I've been pet sitting and pet walking for about 7 years for families in my area. It started out with my friend recommending me to take care of our neighbor’s cats for their vacation and expanded from there. I love all pets, especially dogs and cats, but am willing to work with any type of animal including animals with special needs or older pets. I am willing to do feeding, walking, giving medicine, and do overnight sitting in your home if needed. I had a black lab for 13 years, and I currently have a 6-year-old high-energy German shepherd and a 6-year-old cat. I understand that all pets are unique and require special attention and detail and look forward to meeting yours!

I can come to your home for drop-in visits and stay overnight if your pet has any kind of separation anxiety or is just simply used to being around their humans consistently. I would offer care in my own home, but unfortunately my dog is a rescue and not dog-friendly (but we love her anyways).

Let me know if they need to take any medications, if they’re good about taking their medications, and how much I need to be with them if I’m pet sitting for you versus just a walk. Lots of dogs have different levels of separation anxiety and my goal is to make both you and your dog as comfortable as possible during the process!
A typical day
I love going for walks and also getting them to play with toys, playing fetch, etc. It really depends on the dog and what their favorite things are! I’ve watched dogs that loved for me to kick around old soccer balls for them, some who played with frisbees, and others that just wanted a quick walk and then to nap most of the day.

Availability
I am very flexible with a fairly open schedule during the summer. In fall and through spring, I do have college classes but they are online for the most part, so even then I am able to accommodate most requests. I can do multiple walks/feedings/check ins a day if needed, and overnight care is not a problem.
