Hello! My name is Samantha. I have a 2 year old Goldendoodle named "Indiana Bones", we call her "Indie" for short. We have had her since she was 8 weeks old and since then she has become the light of my life and I love every minute of playing and cuddling. She is my family and I know others feel the same way about their dogs. I will treat them like the precious little fur babies they are! We have taken Indie for training multiple times since she was a puppy and both her and I have learned so much about positive training techniques and that is how I will interact with every dog in my care. I believe every dog is good and just needs love and patience. I spent 6 months volunteering at the Edmonton Humane Society where I spent time walking, loving and interacting with dogs of all ages, breeds and needs. This experience was so valuable to me and filled my heart with joy knowing I could help dogs in need. The volunteer training helped me further my understanding of dog behaviour, needs and training techniques. I am a Registered Nurse by trade and work casual hours so have lots of flexibility in hours. And beyond that I am very comfortable with any medical needs a dog may have; but since my dog is at home I do require dogs be up to date with vaccines. I am going to complete dog CRP and first aid as soon as I can. In the winter we enjoy going for walks in the river valley or frequenting one of the many off leash dog parks, we also spend time playing in our yard which is fully fenced. When its too cold to go outside for some dogs (its never too cold for my pup as long as she has her boots and vest she is as happy as a clam) trying some new tricks or training indoors or trying a dog puzzle can always be fun. In the summer months we are very active, our dog accompanies us on bikes rides and trail runs. We like to spend time walking down near the creek so our dog can swim and fetch sticks from the water. If you have an active dog that requires lots of walks and physical exercise I know our Indie can tire them out! She is a bundle of energy! Our dog is very well socialized to other dogs as she sometimes goes to daycare when we both work a long day so she gets along with most dogs and is submissive by nature and has a kind temperament. She loves to play with both big and small dogs and she can't wait to play with more friends.
