I'm Sam, a 24 year old vet assistant in Antioch, but I work in the Brentwood/Franklin area. I've got a years veterinary experience but have been pet sitting for friends my whole life. Having this medical experience helps me identify when a pet is in distress, and to know how to monitor your baby in case every owners worst fear unfortunately comes true and their pet needs emergency care while they're gone. I also can throw in extra services such as bathing, nail trims, etc. for a small extra charge! I am very comfortable giving both pill and injectable medication, including insulin. I ALWAYS send pictures and little updates of your fur (or scale) baby while you're away so you know they're being well taken care of!!

Samantha is a huge animal lover and works extremely well with them. She is one of the first people I go to when I need advice about my pets. My family has asked her to pet sit for our dog and two cats multiple times. She is really great with them! Our dog is only a year old so he is still really hyper and bit overbearing at times, but she still does a fantastic job!
She is one of the most devoted pet parents I have ever met! She will always love all fur babies more than anyone (other than their parents of course) and will do anything to protect them and love them as their parents would. She helped me with my dog once and my dog has never been happier with another person! Absolutely great dog sitter!

I always consult the client for any specific safety and care needs, but I always treat pets as if they were my own both in and out of the clients home. As I recently said, I know the healthy parameters an animal should be at (temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, etc) and am easily able to make sure they're stable and safe.

If the dog has any tendencies for nipping, any medications or a specific feeding schedule, etc. I also require proof of all vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm prevention for any dogs that come into my home, and only require proof of rabies vaccination and the same preventions for animals I'd be seeing outside of my home.
A typical day
A typical day either pets I take care of is usually full of lots of pets and treats, and fun walks. If it's a dog that needs a little more energy release, my apartment has a small dog park with an agility course and I have plenty bigger parks nearby as well.

Availability
I currently work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7am-5:30pm in the brentwood/Franklin area and can do drop ins on those days in mornings, on lunch, and evenings and/or do overnight stays if it's within a reasonable commute to my work, but have open availability on Thursdays and weekends for walks, drop ins, etc.
