Long time dog owner and lover!
Pet care experience
I've owned and cared for dogs since I was a child, including a very large dog (over 100 lbs) and very energetic dogs. I currently do not have a dog but my family nearby has a pitbull/terrier mix so I'm comfortable with all breeds and energy levels. I made money in high school walking dogs so I'm familiar with dealing with new dogs regularly!

Samantha was amazing as always. We have had her watch our 2 cavaliers multiple times and this time we even had a last minute delay that she quickly accommodated and worked with Rover support to ensure there were no issues!
Samantha did an amazing job taking care of our 2 kitties. She is very communicative, caring and detailed oriented. She listed what she did step by step whenever she visited and I can tell she really cares about our cats. Highly recommended.😺

I have a one bedroom apartment so no other people or animals around to interfere with the care of any animals in my care. Very spacious, plenty of room for any anxious dogs to have their own space to feel comfortable here! I'm also more than happy having clingier dogs who like to spend time on the furniture!

If your dog has any special needs I am happy to care for them, just let me know what is needed from me beforehand! I haven't had much experience with a range of special needs but I'm patient and willing to learn to give your dog the best care I can! My apartment building is pet-friendly so many residents have dogs as well, if your dog is anxious or excitable around other dogs let me know so I can make sure to avoid run-ins in the hallways.
A typical day
I live right on the lakefront and love taking dogs for walks along the lakefront trail of the stretch of park down the block. I'm a runner so if your dog has lots of energy I'd be happy to take them for a run with me! I'm very used to having high-energy dogs with me. I also have many friends who have dogs I regularly spend time with and for dog-friendly dogs I'd love to arrange playdates!

Availability
I work from home so I have plenty of time to spend with a dog, also meaning plenty of time for walks and potty breaks. Even though I live in an apartment my flexible schedule means no dog would be left alone for very long, at most an hour while I'm at the gym!
