I have been caring for my own dogs for twelve years now. My current dog is a one year old Great Pyrenees, and I raised and trained her all by myself since she was two months old. I am part of the Athens Guide Dog Foundation, and I have been in the program for over a year now. I have the capacity to train dogs and receive monthly guidance at meetings on how to better work with dogs. I have volunteered at animal shelters and humane societies for five years now, and I am also a pre-veterinary student, so I have experience left and right working with animals of all sorts. Since I am a student, I do attend college, but I have substantial breaks between my classes that allow me to constantly check on my dog at least every two-four hours, and the classes do not start until 9:00 AM, so I have time to attend to the dogs as early as needed.
