At the moment I am taking a break from dog boarding till further notice. (I OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR VACATIONS IF YOU SCHEDULE ME A MONTH IN ADVANCED AND/OR IF YOU HAVE A LONGER STAY THAN A 5 DAY STAY: applies to check in visits, and dog boarding only) Hello! I'm Samantha and I would be the primary pet sitter and or Walker! My husband Carlos and son Elias also help. (If you want to see a charge/care breakdown scroll to the bottom.) Elias is soon to be 3 years old and loves the pets we sit to the point of being upset at times when they have to go home. He is an assertive little boy whose favorite word is "No", so he isn't afraid to give demands if the per is doing something he doesn't like. As for my Husband and I we both have decades worth of animal care experience between the both of us from Horses, rabbits, dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, frogs, even goats! However, dogs and cats would be more of our experience. If I'm being honest, I know finding the right person can be daunting, people are scary now of days and very untrustworthy, but there are good people out there and I do believe Carlos and I are those people. We do our best and always try our best! We are communicative, responsible, clean, considerate people who are really just trying to mooch off of everyone's pets for our own happiness having a furry creature around! If we could afford to have one of our own we would. We're getting there. :^) FACTS ABOUT THE SITTERS: 1. Sam is comfortable with medications and injections! 2. Carlos is more playful than Sam 3. All animals love Carlos more than Sam for unknown reasons.... even though Sam literally radiates with every fiber and pore excitement and love for furry friends. 4. Sam likes cuddly pets 5. Elias loves playing with pet toys 6. Elias like to pull the pets hair sometimes (I yell at him, but sorry in advanced!) 7. Pets are allowed on the couch 8. Sam has many part time jobs and occasionally will take dogs with her to sell used cars or houses! (Yes I am a licensed Realtor) 9. Sometimes we take our pets to our family functions sometimes we leave them behind if they can handle it and are trusted. 10. We never leave anxious dogs home alone and will refuse to sit if we know we would have to. 11. We have a CAMERA when we leave home to watch and talk to the dogs 12. We do facetime, skype or samsung video calls! 13. We dont always go to the Park... sometimes it's too wet or hot. 14. We clean and disinfect before any visit and after a visit. 15. We do not provide dog food. 16. We only have one car for transportation. (So let me know ahead of time for drop off and pick ups) 17. If I walk dogs it's usually in the evenings! Or early mornings before 5:30am 18. I will record myself the entire time when I am at your house checking on your pet for security purposes! ***COST BREAKDOWN! AND NOTICE TO OWNERS*** PICK UP AND DROP OFFS: 6$EACH (will need notice, I cannot drop off and pick up on a whim sometimes.) BATHS: Only if I have to... and will use baby soap with permission if I do not have pet soap on hand. No charge, I would expect an owner not to leave a smelly pet with me >_< out if consideration. I'm not a licensed groomer! (YET) PICK UP AND DROP OFF TIMES: If you communicate you will drop off /pick up early or late... (beyond humanly hours) just communicate I'm very flexible and i'm not a penny pincher and understand things happen like delayed flights, emergencies and traffic, just communicate with me. DELAYED DAYS IN RETRIEVEING YOUR PET: Please communicate with me sometimes I'm avaliable to still house your pet beyond our arranged time, sometimes I won't, that would result in Rover finding another last minute sitter or eventually the pet being cared for at a kennel which the owner would be liable for costs. I do not charge extra for delayed days, just my regular fee. EXTREME PET ANXIETY: I am a very empathetic and considerate person who will do my best to make your pet at home and comfortable, but if the pet in inconsolable I will ask the owner to find better arrangements. I do live in an apartment where I have to do my best to avoid noise complaints. To avoid this just be transparent with your pets needs before hand, let's meet up and have a trial for the pet come meet us, leave for 30mins see if the pet will act. I wont charge for that! BARKERS AND CRYBABIES: I do live in an apartment, so I try my best to reduce triggers for barking and crying to avoid noise complaints. If the pet can't can not calm down I would have to find other arrangements for the stay with another rover sitter or kennel and owner will be liable for costs. Just be transparent with me and let's do a trial run before the big stay! Meet with me, leave the pet with me for 30mins-an hour and let's observe the behavior together. We want a good fit for the fur baby! DAMAGE TO OUR HOME: We ask for transparency in the dogs habits like chewing, marking territory, bathroom habits scratching etc. Please give us a heads up so we know to prepare and be alert. Also we anticipate in our line of work normal damages like scratches to the floors, shedding, occasional accidents, my son's toys being chewed, but if there are destructive behaviors such as furniture chewing, clothing chewing or scratching/shredding, without disclosure to these behaviors (or if it's new behavior) we would ask for compensation. (REMEBER THIS IS NOT A CAGED KENNEL THIS IS OUR HOME, AND MY EYES ARE NOT 24/7 ON THE ANIMAL, I SLEEP AND HAVE A CHILD, OTHER DUTIES AROUND THE HOUSE.) CANCELLATIONS: I value my time and the time of others. I expect the same value from the owners I agree to sit for, to communicate possible cancellation and give me a heads up prior to booking me in advanced. There are sometimes I turn down other Owners to sit for who asked first and it does hurt me financially and my reputation with who I turn down, please take this into consideration and just talk to me before booking me. I am a very considerate understanding person and do not like to penny pinch and if i deem the communication and situation reasonably fair, I will waive the cancellation fee. I believe in giving people breaks, money is important to everyone. The cancellation fee break down can be found in the disclaimers when booking me. Or just ask me. Overall I believe I'm fair, transparent, reasonable and considerate. I try my hardest and break my back to please people and follow care instructions to a T! The money is valued and it does help my home and is greatly appreciated, occasionally to my friends I charge the absolute minimum and work with people who need it, we are charitable but value our time and efforts, this is real care, not a kennel. The animals are played with, cuddled with, outside often, and are always fed even if I have to cook or buy food myself in case of anything. Thank you!
