The Heart of a Home is a Pet
Pet care experience
I've always lived with a pet in my home. Growing up we always had at least 2 cats and dogs in the home. When I moved to attend community college I helped take care of my Grandmothers Shih Tzu as well as pet sit an elderly cat whose owner I am now great friends with. When I moved to attend a University I couldn't have a pet in student housing, those 3 years without a furry friend felt brutal to me. As soon as I got into my own apartment I got a cat. Now that I own my home I currently have 3 cats and 1 large dog. They are my family and the only kids I plan on having. Personally I feel that the heart of a home is missing without a pet.

A lot of pet owners have a schedule for their pets which I follow diligently. Food, treats and medicine are given at the time specified by the owners. I always ask permission first before giving pets anything that is not currently apart of their regimen. Potty breaks when needed, lots of pets and play (thats the best part, right?) and in the past I've even sent text/picture updates to some owners who I've become friends with that were particularly worried about their pet. As for my own pets, our cats are young and play with each other so I spend a bit more time with our dog Leo taking walks and playing tug-o-war since he's the only dog in our home (so far). When walking a dog, whether its my own or someone else's I always pay special attention to when any other dog gets close for both parties safety. I also keep water in a cooler in the truck so the dog has clean water to drink.

Availability
I'm currently not working, so I have plenty of time to put the love and compassion into caring for your furry family. I spent the last year recovering from an illness caused by a bad environment (mold in a house) I was living in before I moved to AZ and as a result walking my dog and spending time outdoors became a life saving habit. I feel that I'm ready to start working again and that animal care is a perfect environment I will flourish in. I'm available all days of the week, overnights (as long as there is not a mold problem in the home), and holidays such as Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
