I've cared for animals (outside of childhood pets) for 15+ years. My two senior huskies that passed in the last couple years were my babies and taught me so much about caring for and enhancing the well-being of an animal through all stages of their life. I currently have 1 fur-baby of my own. Most of my experience is with dogs (caring for and walking dogs for other owners often); however, I do have experience with cats as well! I even did one of my capstone projects on graduate school on community cat well-being, and frequently help trap-neuter-return (TNR) in my neighborhood. I am comfortable with senior animals having cared for two large dogs during their finals years (they both passed at the age of 13), who had various chronic, but "managed," medical conditions during their lives. I can provide references for both cat and dog owners that I have worked for in the past.
