Pet care experience
I have always been a great lover of animals, and have a lifetime of experience caring for cats, 10 years with a rabbit, and nearly six years with a young rescue dog, a little pit mix that has changed my life :). Over the past year, I have done some dog sitting for friends, and it has worked out so well and has been so fun, that I am now offering my time here on Rover! You can rest assured that I will care for your dog, cat, rabbit, or other small animal as I would my own, and will be very protective and respectful of them as we enjoy each other's company and do things together (training, snuggling, play). For drop in visits, you can expect your dog (or other pet) to receive enthusiastic play or training time, devoted one-on-one attention, and cuddles and love on your pet's terms. I can't wait to meeting your beloved pup or other furry family member!
Reviews
Samantha is conscientious and thorough. She stopped by ahead of time to make sure my dog would be comfortable around her. He loved her immediately as she is a natural with dogs. I felt completely comfortable with her in my home and with my dog. Best of all, she kept in touch everyday with updates and photos. Thanks Samantha!
Sam is so patient with our finicky dog! I am thrilled we had her come visit. We will definitely use Samantha's services again :)
Sam is so great with animals! She has watched my high energy rescue pup a handful of times and has always been patient and sweet with her. One of my favorite things about Sam is that she really cares about keeping a routine for my pup. She always asks me what we are working on so that she can help keep my pup on track. She also sends me updates and photos which I love! My dog cannot contain her excitement when she sees her. I feel so lucky that I have found someone who is trustworthy and loves my pup as much as I do.
I've known Sam for over ten years and she is a great friend. We've both been pet parents for years and she takes excellent care of all of her pets. I would happily trust her in my home and with any of my animals. I get to see all of her dog's adventures on social media and he may even spend more time outside than I do!

For drop-in visits, care will vary depending on type of animal, and the needs specified by the pets' guardian (you!). Gentle and dedicated attention and respect for your pet's comfort levels are always guaranteed. Your home will be respected and treated as I would the home of an employer.

A typical day
I like to play "find it" with treats/kibble in a back yard (if available) to encourage their natural foraging instinct, and get them using their noses. Fetch, tug, and keepaway are some games we could play with toys both inside or outside. If you are working on a training regimen, I'm happy to give them some practice time with those sills! During summer, if your dog likes water, we could spend some time using a pool, sprinkler, or other fun activities that they're used to.

My schedule is flexible right now, but I usually prefer to make drop-in rounds either in the morning (8:30-10:30am) or afternoon/early evening (4-7pm). I can usually accommodate other time window as needed upon request.
