Pet care experience
I've worked with animals my whole life! Growing up, my family had a rotweiler and a black labrador. After they passed away, I continued to volunteer my time at animal shelters and helped my friends take care of their pets. Unfortunately, as much as I love cats, I'm allergic and wouldn't be able to take care of/house-sit anywhere that has a cat! Not only will I provide your dog with the necessities (food, water, potty time, etc.), I will also do my best to make sure that they have an amazing time! I tend to take dogs that I've babysat or fostered to dog parks and for long walks by Central Park and Riverside Park, and even hiking up in mountains! I can guarantee that I will take care of your furry friend. My office is also very dog-friendly and many coworkers bring their dogs!

I cannot say enough good things about Sam and how he cared for my Daisy. His attention to detail regarding her care was so impressive. He checked in with any questions, and gave me consistent updates about her day. In terms of her care he was great with her feeding schedule, medicine and walks. When I went to pick her up she was so happy and full of energy. I would absolutely use Sam again and highly recommend him!

Information Sam T. would like to know about your pet
I would prefer a dog that is house-trained and knows simple commands. It would be great if I could watch dogs that are potty-trained to go outside! Additionally, they have to be able to be left alone for a couple of hours unsupervised at home (when I go to the gym, have meetings, etc.). Due to poor experiences with dogs who have separation anxiety, I specifically request to only watch dogs that will be fine with being left alone.
A typical day
I live in Brooklyn Heights and work in SoHo, so any dog that I watch will always have plenty of exercise! We'd take walks by the Hudson River and East River or by the park that's 5 minutes away from my apartment! In the fall, I also go hiking with friends and take dogs on dog-friendly trails.
