In "full disclosure"...Sam is not my friend...he is my son! He graduated in May from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Sam earned a double major in actuarial science and risk management, and has an upcoming job in Chicago. Always liking to work, he held part-time college jobs through his four years at UW. Sam's academic background might make him sound like a "math geek", but I have always found him to have a very well-rounded personality. I'm his mom, so of course I will tell you he has great values...does what he commits to do, shows up on time, works hard, cares for and helps others, enjoys meeting people and learning new things, and perseveres. He also loves dogs! Sam grew up with Great Pyrenees dogs...Jazz, from Sam's birth to when he was seven, and now Snowy. Three "Goldens" were a huge part of Sam's life as next-door neighbor dogs who went in and out of our home as if they were ours! Sam cared for both a German Short-Haired Pointer and another "Golden" during the summers of his college years. He stayed in each pet's home for a week, providing both dog and house sitting. His most recent work as a dog and house sitter was in June in our own home when my husband and I took a week's vacation. We returned home to find the dishes and the laundry washed, the home clean , and Snowy as happy, and spoiled, as could be! I know Sam would be a kind and dependable dog caregiver and a true asset to Rover!
