I understand and empathize with animals easily, and am comfortable with a wide range of sizes and temperaments. As a 9-year vegetarian, I believe that everyone's quality of life is important, regardless of which species they belong to. I've taken care of dogs, cats, and other animals for my neighbors, coworkers, & friends since I was a child. I've also had dogs and other pets almost continuously since I was 5 years-old, with a serious love for animals as far back as my memory goes.

I'm happy to take your pet out, go for a walk, play with them, or just give them attention. :) I'm both attentive and careful, so I will notice if anything seems wrong, and I will interact with your pet(s) as gently as necessary. Also, I am sensitive to whether they feel safe and comfortable, and will make every effort to make sure that they do. I will treat your pet(s) with the same level of care that I treat my own (tiny) dog, Miso.

I'd like to know a bit about your dog's personality. Are they shy or anxious? Are they very outgoing? Do they need a lot of exercise? And of course I'd like to know about their daily routines and favorite activities. Definitely let me know, of course, if there are any medical issues I should be aware of.
A typical day
I work from home as a graduate student and teacher, so I have a very flexible schedule to provide your pet with all the attention they need. I always make sure your pet is getting enough stimulation, so we play games, go outside, visit dog parks, and so on.

Currently, my routine is very flexible. With sufficient notice, I can usually be available 7 days / week, at all times, except Tuesday mornings and afternoons.
