Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Sam! I've been on Rover taking care of D.C.'s cats and dogs since 2017 — I’m excited you’re here! FYI: I'm currently only accepting new regular clients for cat drop-in visits near the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood, although I will do the occasional housesit.
Reviews
Sam is awesome! She took such good care of our kitty. She sent pics, gave us full updates, was very kind and loving to Sundae, very responsive, and extremely respectful of our home.
Sam took great care of my cat while I was away.
Great updates and pictures! Sam was the best!
Sam is the best! She was super communicative and gave my kitties all the loving they craved. She allowed me to be away worry free, knowing they were in good hands. Will definitely book again!

Information Sam S. would like to know about your pet
I always ask for info about what's considered normal for your pet so I can spot if they get stressed while you're away (and comfort them, accordingly!). Let's talk about their schedule, play needs and anything else I can do to ease their nerves.
A typical day
The typical day always depends on the client! If we're talking cats, then typically I go based off their mood — if they're feeling cuddly, then we just cuddle. If they want to play, then we'll play. And the same with dogs: if they're high-energy, I try to take them for a longer walk daily or head to the dog park when we can.

Availability
I work a variable WFH schedule, but typically, I'm able to drop in on a client once in the morning or evenings, and I keep the time consistent throughout the stay.
