Pet care experience
I'm a 30 year old engineer working remotely from my townhome and living with Maro, a 6 month old shepherd mix (as of Aug '21). We take at least two walks a day and at least one trip to either Lincoln park, Lovejoy park, Kingman dog park (for a fenced in experience), or the fields by RFK. The dogs are free to roam the house and as long as it isn't raining I keep the dog door to the back yard open so they can go in and out as they please. I grew up around dogs, cats, and goats and have been pet sitting since before high school. I have no problem letting your dog roam at night.

Our dog had an amazing vacation staying with Sam! Sam was very responsive, sent us lots of photos and videos, made sure that our energetic guy got plenty of activity and overall went above and beyond for us. We highly recommend his services!!
Sam and Sam were wonderful! Our pups clearly had a great time -- because we got great videos and pictures daily! We would recommend them without hesitation. And while we are not looking forward to leaving our dogs in the future, we know that they are looking forward to their stay with Sam and Sam!
I have been taking my dog Sadie to Sam, Sam, and Waffle’s house for the last few months while I am at work and they are the absolute best! They send lots of pictures and take the dogs to the park multiple times a day. Sadie adores Waffles and always comes home super tired. Can’t recommend them enough!
Mr. + Mrs. Sam are the absolute best!

I have a fenced in back area (see the picture - small wooden patio w/ mulch and concrete back area) with a dog door from the main floor to let the dogs run around inside and outside as they please. I can easily crate your dog if needed, most of the time when I leave Maro out.

Does your dog play well with other dogs? Are they ok with cats (I don't have a cat but my neighbors do and sometimes we have playdates with their pups)? Is your dog ok off-leash at a park like Lincoln (no worries if not)?
A typical day
Near the Arboretum, I'm a few blocks from Kingman dog park and the RFK fields/Anacostia trails. We'll visit a park or go for a walk around 7am and then again in the evening around 5pm. If it's nice outside we may have a playdate with the neighbors pups and if I get time in the day we'll take a mid day walk as well.

I work remote full time so I'm available for drop off and pick up on weekends, nights, and mornings before 9 as well as random times throughout the day depending on my meeting schedule.
