Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for friends and family since I was 15 years old. I’ve been relied on for walks, feeding, and just giving the animal company. I’ve grown up with cats my whole life and have had 2 dogs of my own while living at my parents house with two extremely different energies that I kept up with (basset hound and Belgian malinois). I have dog sat in a home with up to 5 dogs ranging in size from dachshund to golden retriever. I also have experience with large breeds, specifically a couple of Great Dane/mastiff mixes. I have walked up to 2 dogs simultaneously. Dogs and cats are my love and since I can’t have any dogs of my own your dog will be treated as my own! I also am good on taking care of the house while you’re away so there’s less to worry about when you get home. I can get mail, take the garbage out to the curb and back, or any other house up-keep you may want me to do. Just let me know!

Sam took excellent care with our animals, and left our house beautifully clean.
Sam did a great job and my pets were well cared for while I was gone for the weekend. She seemed to truly enjoy my VERY energetic and sometimes anxious dog who was happy to hang out with Sam in our absence. I would highly recommend Sam for house sitting.
Sam was great with our two labradoodles, turtle, and our cat. She even stayed through a snowstorm! She made sure the turtle stayed warm and the dogs and cats were very loved on.
Sam cared for our 5 dogs (one senior) for a week while going to school and work. She had the bedding in the wash, mail was on the counter, and the trash taken out when we got home. Our dogs were loved and our house was well taken care of. We love her!

I can easily crate animals if needed and have no problems sticking to their schedule to make sure they get let out. I have no problems cleaning up after any accidents that may happen. Schedule and routine is important to me, especially when it comes to feeding times.

If they need medication, have specific routines, or any problem behavior-behavior that you’ve deemed a problem, not at my discretion- to look out for (potty accidents, jumping on furniture, etc) or training that needs to be done.
A typical day
I love to just walk in neighborhoods but I also live right next to Steilacoom park which is a favorite of mine. I also love playing tug-o-war games and enjoy rough housing if your dog is the type to enjoy that. I would never rough house with a dog that didn’t want to/couldn’t handle it, or if you wouldn’t want me to.

Availability
I have school on Tuesdays and Thursdays but I have a 2 hour break in between my two classes so it’s easy for me to go and let a dog out between my classes. I work Friday-Sunday evenings but my shifts are usually only 4-5 hours long, so your pet will not be left alone for very long.
