Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Sammy. Me and my partner are both experienced cat and dog owners (particularly rescue animals) who work from home as writers. I currently have 1 dog customer (the Chow Chow) and 2 cat customers (Rag Doll & Himalayan) that I started looking after regularly for friends and found that I love it! I offer a more relaxed, calm space for pets to feel comfortable and cared for while I write but I enjoy a good, long walk at least once a day. I am also very easily distracted from my work if someone wants to play or show me how good they are at tricks.

Sam and Rebecca boarded our young pup Scout for a few nights - and he had a brilliant time! Still slept through the night in his crate, even had a lie in (why doesn't he do that at home?!) We got lots of lovely updates, photos and videos and could clearly see Scout was having a lovely time. Sam and Rebecca always take such great care of Scout - they're fab!
Sam house/pet sitted for us while we went away for a weekend, I was genuinely concerned my dog wouldn't want us back! We received plenty of photos of their adventures and Archer looked so pleased in all of them. When we returned home Archer was very relaxed and tired from his busy weekend. Sam also took great care with our home which is greatly appreciated.
Sam took super good care of our dog Lucky, sent pictures all throughout the boarding and Lucky came home all tired and happy. We can wholeheartedly recommend Sam to anyone looking for giving their pooch some fun time away from home.

We have a one bedroom flat with a large open plan living room/kitchen where our animal visitors tend to spend most of their day napping on the sofa or watching the birds come to our window bird feeder. We also have a large shared back garden for sniffing explorations, toilet breaks and shade bathing. We’re lucky to be in a lovely, quiet area with lots of parks to choose from for the morning/afternoon walk too. If you would like me to visit your house I’m a very conscientious and careful person who will leave everything how I found it and make sure the house is left secure.

I know how important routine and consistency is for dogs so I’m always very keen to get as much information as possible about how best to care for your dog.
A typical day
Depending on the weather, we can hang out in our large shared garden and play or relax. I always find it helps my writing to get some exercise in at least once a day so a good walk after lunch is a guarantee.

I am working from home as a writer/copywriter so have great availability. Same for my partner although I am the lead carer as she also teaches some days. I can be available weekdays, weekends, days and evenings.
