Pet care experience
We are huge animal lovers, and have had dogs and cats in the family since before we can remember….. unfortunately no cows but you can’t have it all! We would love the opportunity to take care of your furry loved ones, whether it’s for feeding, walkies, daily sitting or even better….overnight stays while you are away! We believe there simply nothing better in life than pets.
Reviews
“Sam is a real animal person, he loves dishing out belly rubs and dog hugs. He has taken care of my animals on several occasions and most of the time they never want to leave him!” If I ever needed a dog sitter Sam would be the first person I’ll ask. Growing up Sam always loved animals and seem to always get their attention. I think he would be a perfect person to look after someone else’s dogs.
Sam is an excellent, attentive and loving pet owner. He and his fiancée have two pets, a dog and cat whom they look after lovingly and impeccably. He loves animals and his whole world revolves around his dog, Fenton. When someone he knew wanted to get rid of a new born kitten he took the kitten in when he already had two other pets and looked after her until my partner and I were in a position to adopt her after we moved house. I would trust Sam to look after my pets without even thinking about it as I know that he would treat them and love as his own.
I have been a friend with Sam since our first year at secondary school. He has always loved animals and has always said his retirement dream would be to volunteer at kennels. I remember his three dogs when we were growing up that he loved so much and as soon as he was able to get his own as an adult, he got Fenton and he truly is his man’s best friend. Sam is always excited to see animals whether they are in the street, on a farm, or just cows in a field! I couldn’t think of anyone better to take care of my own animals when I need him to.

We live in a ground floor flat however, it has two bedrooms, is very spacious and has a large 40ft private lawned garden with direct access to our kitchen…. and is fully secure by 6 foot fences all round and lockable gate. We am also very close to Footscray Meadows, which is where we take Fenton our Cockapoo on his daily walks. Fenton is a very friendly dog, sometimes nervous with strangers, but never aggressive.. he LOVES playing with other dogs and having play dates. We do also have a cat called Coco who usually just keeps himself to himself and again is very friendly. He and Fenton have mutual respect for each others space. We are happy for visiting pets to treat my home as theirs and have no restrictions…. As long as they are house trained! I have a 14 year old son who is also an animal lover, our cat Coco spends most of time with him, and is adamant for his bed to be in there with him. He calls both Fenton and Coco his brothers and loves nothing more than them…. With gaming a close second (he of course is not the one who will be looking after your pets!)

For us, there is nothing better than the great outdoors! We love taking Fenton on daily walks to Footscray Meadows to play and sometimes take a paddle in the stream and we would love some company to do that with (paddling is not obligatory!). We are also understanding of doggos that require a calmer more chilled walk, and would be more than happy to meet their needs.

My name is Sam and I work from home full-time, with only the very occasional visits to the office (usually just once a month) and usually on my terms, so I am very flexible. My partner Sophie is a primary school teacher, and although is at school every working day, loves nothing more than spending her time with our pets (and hopefully me!) during her down time.
