Energetic and reliable dog walker in the Southside
Pet care experience
I have taken care of many breeds of dogs and love getting to know them and trying to help owners with all of their pets needs including, training, socialisation, diet, walkies and of course cuddles. I have worked full-time with dogs both with a dog walking company and on my own so I am well acquainted to many different breeds and temperaments and love getting to meet new pups and building a close relationship with them. As a trained nurse, safety is paramount and so I have completed Canine First Aid Training. I have one 2 year old cockapoo named Charlie, he is a very well socialised boy who loves making new friends and has been used to help other dogs, old and young, come out of their shell. He has a great way of adapting to other dogs and loves to play but equally happy to give them space when needed.
Reviews
Sally P. cancelled a booking 1 day before it was scheduled to begin.
Sally looked after our cocker spaniel Maisie for one night and we wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. Sally kept us regularly updated with messages and photos to let us know that Maisie was getting on well. Maisie also got on really well with Sally's own dog which is an important factor for us when looking for dog-sitters. I can highly recommend Sally and assure anyone that your dog will be very well cared for. Thanks again!
1st time we have left our westie in 11 years. Sally did a great job and made him very comfortable. Kept us updated with photos. Thanks. Booked again for January.
Sally was fantastic with Maggie and kept me up to date with how she was doing. She also made a new playmate in Charlie and had a b

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced secure garden leading out from my conservatory so dogs can pop in and out as often as they like. I live a short distance from Rouken Glen park but like to vary walks between many Southside parks! My dog is a great companion and is always happy to play or cuddle up with your pup. I always ensure that your pups will be clean after walks and can provide feeding if required.

Information Sally P. would like to know about your pet
I believe that consistency is key to keeping dogs happy, so please let me know if you have any preferences for our walks/stays. Things that help boost my communication and relationship with your dog include telling me which commands you use, how you reward them and how they are fed and engaged with. If it is a calm, 1-2-1 walk this can be catered for too. I will also need to know if your dog travels well for short distances, if they can walk well on/off lead with other dogs and how their recall is. The more information the better! If it sounds like a good match, I usually recommend a meet and greet (without charge) to discuss things in more detail!
A typical day
My local park is Rouken Glen but I love varying walking locations to keep dogs mentally stimulated and to keep travel time to a minimum. A typical day will consist of 2 small group walks between 8am and 1pm, during these walks we have play time, adventures and lots of practising recall for rewards (and of course, a little photoshoot to show pawrents what we have been up to). In the afternoon, solo walks and home visits take place! In the summer months when temperatures can make it a bit harder for our four-legged friends, walks can be adapted to shorten travel time, exposure to the sun and may take place earlier in the day. This can all be discussed and adapted to be as safe as possible!

Availability
I’m currently self-employed as a dog walker, doing small group walks on weekdays usually between 8am and 1pm. I also offer solo walks and drop-in visits in the afternoons. Over the summer months I have more flexibility and can provide evening and weekend walks and visits. Where available I can provide boarding for well-socialised dogs that I regularly walk and they will be involved in all the fun and games of my day as a dog walker.
