I've spent many hours walking or cuddling dogs

Pet care experience

My farm up bringing means that I'm comfortable around all dogs. I've always owned dogs as an adult and now I don't have my little Jasper, I get my dog fun from helping others with their pets.

Sally has looked after our cat when we’ve gone away a few times now and he couldn’t be happier when we return. She really treats him like he’s her own and loves and looks after him very well indeed. We wouldn’t dream of trusting anyone else now.

Sally helped us out when we went away on holiday for a week. Pets were well taken care of and everything we had asked of her was followed. Reliable, trustworthy and would highly recommend.

I take really careful instruction and specific requirements from the pet owner. I like things written down and to be shown routines. The safety of the pet is paramount and so gates, fences, doors etc will be shut as per owners instruction. No runs off lead unless specified.

Information sally l. would like to know about your pet

I need to know the routine they're used to. The exact food and times they're used to. Lead on or off at all, usual walk routes and lengths. Things that the dog likes or dislikes ....areas on body they don't like being touched, where they like to eat, sleep. Rules that the dogs knows and obeys, words of command they're familiar with.

A typical day

A nice good morning with some strokes, cuddles. Straight out for toilet. Breakfast for both of us if required. Decide on morning walk being the main walk probably. Quiet time over lunch, another walk or outing early afternoon. Maybe social if local dogs are known. Quiet time on return. Play time indoors leading up to tea time at 5/6pm ish. Some tv watching or reading, cuddling, stroking, grooming. Last toilet maybe 9pm depending. Activities in the day can involve ball throwing, chasing round, swimming in outdoor water if applicable. Social park visiting to see other dogs if applicable.
