Hello, my dear Rover friends! My name is Salena and if I were a dog breed, the internet would describe me as, “compassionate, intelligent, yet playful with a sweet disposition.” *COVID-19 Note* - I take social distancing and COVID-19 preventative measures seriously. If we engage in business together, I will respect your space with the utmost care by wearing a mask and following other CDC guidelines. I am an educator in the Milford area looking for opportunities during the summer to continue to help those in my community, both human and canine! I absolutely love animals of all kinds, but specifically have experience caring for older dogs who need more individualized care. I often watch my sister’s ten year old German Shepherd who suffers from epilepsy. I administer his medicine in a timely manner and take the upmost care in ensuring his care plan is followed to prevent seizures. I also care for a friend’s Greyhound who needs similarly precise medical, physical, and feeding plans. I am a physically fit and active individual who loves the outdoors, so walking and playing with dogs for longer amounts of time is ideal for me. Although I feel confident caring for all types of dogs, please consider that I am on the smaller, more petite side, so if walking larger dogs, it’s necessary that they walk decently with humans to ensure safety of both myself and them. However, no matter what the breed, I will care for and respect your pet as if it is my very own! PS - I absolutely adore cats and am more than elated to sit for them as well!
