Spacious fenced yard in Seattle! 🤎

Pet care experience

I have experience in dogsitting, housesitting with multiple pets, and boarding in my home on and off since 2011. I have a very laid back 2 year old dog and a super sweet 8 year-old human who LOVES all kinds of dogs. I’ve taken care of arthritic dogs who required oral medication and large mastiffs who have lots of friendly energy. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their pets while they’re out of town (dogs, cats, birds, 2 chickens, and a couple amphibians!). I stick to 4 legged furry friends these days.

Sala and Pickles were wonderful with Pogi. Sala set up a Meet & Greet in advance and welcomed us to their lovely home which helped make Pogi feel comfortable the day of his daycare with them. We picked up a happy and tired pup by the end of the day which is all we could ask for. We will definitely be booking more days with them.

Great experience. A fenced yard, another dog to play with and an extremely caring family. Our dog was in very good hands.

Sala is one of the most caring and thoughtful people I know. She is always ready with a smile and an open heart to help anyone in need. She has adopted a beautiful dog named pickles and boy are they the perfect pair. She is always my go to for babysitting my dog! She always updates with pictures and a summary of the day. I have to literally pick my dog up to put him in the car because he doesn’t want to leave! Your fur baby will be in safe hands and you will have the peace of mind knowing your dog is safe.Don’t hesitate to book Sala you won’t be disappointed.

Safety, trust & environment

I mostly care for pets in my home for daycare and boarding, but have experience driving as far north as Wallingford and as far south as Tacoma. My home and safety: My human kiddo and fur baby, Pickles, enjoy playing, going for walks, and lounging around in the yard. We are excited for your fur baby to join us on our mini adventures. Pickles is your typical retired mama who loves her naps, doesn’t bark, and gets along well with other dogs and humans of all ages. I will take them outside for potty and play time roughly every 2-4 hours and walks for exercise 2-4 times a day. My house rules are simple - no pets on the furniture and crate time as necessary. I have baby gates to keep pets from upstairs, but other than that they’re free to roam the house and keep me company during my Zoom meetings (see pics of dogs laying on the carpet). I usually have “TV for dogs” playing in the living room for the pups during the day or if I need to run a quick errand. I crate my pup if I need to leave for errands for safety purposes with new clients. I usually plan for errands beforehand so I am home with the dogs, but I like for folks to know how I ensure safety for all dogs in my care in the case that I do need to leave for any reason. If my 8 year old were home with me during a daycare or overnight stay, please know she’s very sweet, gentle, and playful. She’s grown up with dogs her entire life and can learn rules that come with dogs and their humans. Our big house rules are “human food for humans” (save for the occasional crumbs that doggos beat us to), and she is not allowed to walk our guests. Communication: I ask owners how they prefer updates, if any. I’m a fan of Rover Cards so owners can get a snapshot of their dog’s day. I usually take pics and short videos to share with clients. Please let me know how I can make our home comfortable for you and our new furry friend. I have extra blankets, a mini slide, an outdoor mini pop-up tent we keep up during the summer, and spare tennis balls and chew toys! Let’s chat about what your expectations/hopes are so I can know if my home would be the best setting for your loved one. 😊

Information Sala S. would like to know about your pet

Let me know of any special needs, behaviors to look out for, medication/physical needs, allergies, and other habits or triggers they may have (fear of cars/loud noises, anxious around men, anxious around larger dogs, etc). I’d love to know what level of training they’ve received and commands they respond to. Anything you can think of that will help your pet feel comfortable and safe is helpful for me. Feb 2024 update: We recently had a difficult boarding situation with a German Shepherd so I won’t be able to watch GSDs until further notice.

A typical day

A typical day includes playing and lounging in the yard, going on 2-4 walks around the neighborhood, and taking naps in between. Please don’t hesitate to let me know of specific activities your dog enjoys (or doesn’t!).

I get to schedule my work days so I can take breaks for walks and play time in the yard every 2-4 hours. I have a clean home both inside and out that is toddler and dog-proofed so you can feel at ease while at work or on long trips.
