Vet Tech & Animal Lover!
Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Sage! As a former veterinary technician, I have worked professionally with animals in both routine and emergency situations, with additional experience as a wildlife sanctuary volunteer and as an owner of many species over the years. [Services for exotic/farm animals offered privately.] At home, my husband and I have 2 dogs and 80 acres of land to explore. I can't wait to meet you and your fur babies!
Reviews
Sage was a great dog sitter. She was professional and took great care of our Dane puppy. Would definitely book again!
My dog had a great time at Sage’s! She took her on plenty of walks and took the time to make sure she was comfortable in her home. I appreciated how attentive she was to my dog’s specific needs and always kept me in the loop.
I had a great experience with Sage. She was really good with our little dog. This is the first time he is away from us for more than a few hours. He stayed 5 days with Sage. She let him played with her dogs and her dogs were super patient with our boy. She communicated well with us and sent pictures to let us know he was doing fine. I will book with her again next time I need a dog sitter.
I worry about leaving my babies with anyone. But felt they were in good hands. She texted me to let me know things were going good. Will definitely rebook with her.

At my house, boarding dogs are never left outside unsupervised. Boarders (and their belongings) are also never left with my own dogs. All clients' pets are only fed their own food/treats and are never given human food. Boarders sleep on their own beds or the couch unless a crate is provided. I encourage bringing beds, toys and other comfort items to make boarders feel at home.

Information Sage S. would like to know about your pet
"Besides general feeding/potty routines, owners should inform me of all special needs. All medications and necessary supplies (such as insulin syringes) must be provided and listed in the chat. Owners must be able to prove that pets are up to date on all vaccinations. Boarders' regular food must be provided to avoid GI upsets. Owners are expected to inform me ahead of time if their pet has any negative bahaviors I should be aware of (i.e. "will bolt out the door", "is food aggressive", etc.) Safety requests from owners are strictly adhered to. I also have my own protocols, such as never taking dogs outside without a leash or fence. Some pets may be too anxious away from home or aggressive towards other animals and would do better visited at their own home. I have no breed preferences and base my judgements on the temperment and needs of each pet. I only board one family's pets at a time (besides the occasional overlap), so boarders are never crowded or neglected. Questions regarding my policies should be addressed in the chat before booking confirmation."
A typical day
"During drop-in visits, pets get as much attention from me as possible. In nice weather I like to give dogs plenty of outdoor exercise. Cats will be cuddled and played with too if they allow it! Accidents happen, so I have no problem cleaning up after pets and always appreciate cleaning supplies left somewhere easy to find. At my house, boarding dogs may get to play in a large fenced-in yard or go for walks down our long forest trail. During the summer they may even get to play in a kitty pool or sprinkler! Inside, I have plenty of toys and two friendly dogs who can be playmates or be kept entirely seperate if necessary."
