Pet care experience
I have grown up around all sorts of animals, from dogs and cats to fish and guinea pigs. My family had 2 crazy spaniels, the eldest of which we lost recently and miss very much. Raising these two boys means I have experience with puppy care, senior care with my older boy, as well as general experience with super high energy dogs (spaniel owners will know)! I know some great methods for keeping pups entertained and enriched, as well how to calm them down when needed. Now that I have moved away from home I miss the company of dogs and really look forward to getting the opportunity to host.
Reviews
Sadie looks after our dog Eddie once a week and he gets so excited to see her! She takes him out for a long walk at lunch and takes great care of him throughout the day. I would recommend Sadie to anyone looking for a lovely person to take care of their pet :)
Great experience with Sadie. She was able to accommodate a last minute house sitting with my RR, Oak. She even popped round the day before to get to know him. Kind and enthusiastic energy, would book again!
Sadie was great with Lume, and she very kindly cleaned him up when he got muddy! We are very grateful.
Sadie has looked after my puppy numerous times over the past few months while I’ve been away with work. He absolutely loves his time with Sadie, because her kind spirited nature means he is always is good hands! I couldn’t recommend Sadie enough for anyone in need of someone to care for their pup!

Safety, trust & environment
I currently live on the 4th floor of an apartment block in a 2 bed flat. The flat is very modern and clutter free. I do have a balcony but I would not let any pets out there, particularly cats, for safety reasons. For dog walks, I would only let a dog off the lead at owners discretion, and ideally once I have gotten to know the dog a bit more. I would ensure that recall is perfected before doing so, and that the area is accepting of off lead dogs and is safe for them. I have a good understanding of dog’s behaviour and body language around other dogs and people, from walking my two family dogs, who were sometimes difficult in these situations. I know when to allow a dog to interact and when not to, to avoid unpleasant consequences!

Information Sadie L. would like to know about your pet
I’d prefer to know a little bit about what your dog is like interacting with other dogs when out and about. I would mostly keep dogs on the lead for the first few walks once I’ve got to know the dog better and their recall levels etc.
A typical day
I love keeping dogs happy and entertained, through a variety of games and challenges. I’ve got a couple of lick mats which every dog loves and keeps them stimulated for ages (especially when frozen!). I also know a couple of training routines to do for treats and love long walks in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.

Availability
I currently work from home almost entirely. I very rarely go to the office and if I do, I will know about it a few weeks in advance. My work schedule is very flexible, I am able to take regular breaks including always having at least an hour for lunch. I currently attend university one day per week, every Thursday. Therefore Wednesday overnights and Thursday day times would not work as well for me, but every other night of the week is great.
