Pet care experience

Before moving to college, I had always lived with at least one pet in my home, but my family currently has four pets (two cats, two dogs). The dogs are 85 and 50 pounds, respectively, and the cats are 8 and 12 pounds each. The 50 pound dog is mine, my parents gave him to me almost two summers ago. The half Australian shepherd, half border collie puppy, who was four months old at the time, was my sole responsibility when I got him. He is my baby and I miss him dearly. I taught him basic commands and potty trained him, which included getting up two-three times in the middle of the night to make him go potty outside. I want this job because I miss my baby, and also need more money to help pay for the projects I create in my architecture classes. Thank you!

Sadie is a very responsible person and would be an amazing dog walker. Her love for dogs is quite obvious. She has two dogs at home that she cares for and is responsible for. In addition, in all the dogs she has stopped to pet, all of them have loved her. She is well informed about dogs and I would trust her with mine.

Information Sadie H. would like to know about your pet

Age, any health conditions, if they are allowed to have any treats, and if so what kind, your preferences on how frequently they play, if they have a bedtime, and how much to be fed and how often. I prefer larger dog breeds (+30 pounds), because that is what I have the most experience with. I am open to smaller dogs, I am just used to larger ones. I would love to work with herding and working breeds, because that is the kind I have at home.

A typical day

I grew up with large, energetic dogs, so I enjoy activities that wear them out quickly, and allow them to have a great time. My dog loves playing Frisbee, so we do that periodically throughout the day, so that he both rests and wears himself out. If the dog has a preferred activity, I am more than open to other games, such as tug of war, fetch, and wrestling, as I have experience physically playing with big dogs.
