I love to love your pet! I know everyone probably says that, but having worked in the pet profession as a groomer, trainer and at a nutrition center, I can honestly say I love other people's pets. Growing up on a Midwest farm, I have owned almost every kind of domestic pet you can own, from chickens to cows. I started working with my personal dogs when I was 12, showing in obedience and confirmation in a local club. From there the passion grew, until finally decided to work professionally. First, I worked for 2 years at a professional grooming salon, starting as a bather and moving up to a full time groomer. There I learned about canine & feline anatomy, skin conditions, proper and low stress handling techniques, how to choose good products for customer's pets, CPR & first aid (something I have stayed up to date on) and so much more. When I moved from that location, I quickly got back into the business at a nutrition center and specialty boutique, learning so much about foods, treats, digestive and overall health. While working there, I am now focused on training so I have completed the Animal Behavior College's Professional Dog Training Course and have continued my education as recommended by the The Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. My long term goals include becoming CCPDT-KA, and attending more training schools. I am available most days outside the hours of 10-5, therefore am able to spend most of my time with your pets, treating them just like my own.
