Hi! While I’ve had A LOT of pets growing up, a grand portion of my animal experience comes from a professional setting. I took animal science courses specializing in veterinary assistance for two years which gave me the technical skills of administering medicine, reading animal behavior, and basic care for various pet species. During holidays I’d volunteer to bring animals home so I’m also comfortable with caring for animals outside of dogs and cats (ie. rodents, snakes, lizards ranging from iguanas to beardies, even chinchillas and sugar gliders!). I also worked at a local doggy daycare during breaks which taught me about grooming and how to deal with 10+ dogs of different personalities and ages who constantly wanted attention at the same time XD
