I’m a dog mummy to a 9 year female dog with space in my home and heart for another! I’m insured and have recently completed a course in canine first aid / emergency care. Dogs are a huge part of my life and very much treated as part of the family. I have always owned dogs or cared for them within my network (chihuahuas, labradors, terriers, mongrels and many more). Owning a pug means I have lots of experience with brachycephalic breeds (frenchies, pugs, bulldogs etc) who have many special needs. My pug also has separation anxiety so I’m used to certain behaviours and know how to put dogs at ease. I also know how hard it can be to leave your fur baby with a sitter. Trust is key! I’m a volunteer for Pets as Therapy visiting a local care home and the Cinnamon Trust which includes dog walking for elderly people, the terminally ill and their pets. I also run a dog walking social group through Meet-Up.
