Pet-smitten :)
Pet care experience
I am available for pet-walking and drop-ins/daytime sitting. I am happy to help with ANY species! I am always willing to negotiate details, so if you don't see an availability on my calendar, don't hesitate to message me anyway. I have always loved animals; currently, my roommates are a cat and two guinea pigs (and my husband :). I think learning to communicate effectively with another species is a glorious feat of empathy that opens up so many possibilities for friendship, teamwork, and peaceful coexistence. I worked at a pet store 6 years, and within that time, as a (primarily positive reinforcement) dog trainer for about a year. Though I still have a lot to learn, I feel that this gave me a good basic grounding in dog behavior, and with a diverse range of animal personalities. When I walk or watch your pet, I will incorporate the knowledge I have gained. I aim to not only tend to your pet's basic needs and keep them company, but also to help teach and enrich them (and certainly learn something myself in the process).
Reviews
Wonderful, conciencious and hard working dog walker.
Again, bravo on the thorough rundown of my dog’s walk!
Leo is a large puppy dog with leash aggression and we wanted to meet the walker to be sure they could handle him before we hired anyone. In comes, Sabri! The first time she met Leo he took immediately to her. When she arrived, Sabri got down at Leo’s level and introduced herself. She seemed to genuinely have a connection with him. She gave us a good feeling that our fur boy would be in good hands and we decided to book her. Fast forward 2 weeks of walks later, and 2 more already booked, we couldn’t be more pleased with Sabri’s services. Sabri arrives on time and follows all my care instructions (treats, collar, clean up upon return, etc). Immediately after the walk, Sabri writes us a long and very detailed Rover card about the walk. Sabri has also accommodated our request for longer walks on certain days and also tries to teach Leo focus techniques while they are together.
Sabri was fun and professional. Cooper loved his time with her and he was so sleepy when we got back home so we knew he played well. He can't wait for his next visit from Sabri

Information Sabri I. would like to know about your pet
The information I definitely want to know: - Breed and age (I'm fine with any breed -- don't worry, pittie owners!) - Neutering status - Behavioral and/or medical problems Behavioral includes serious (e.g. aggression, including resource aggression, fearfulness, etc.) or minor (potty-training issues, nipping, barking, door-rushing, etc.). - Any information about the dog's personality, preferences, etc. (i.e. anything else you want me to know!)
A typical day
Communication with the owner will be key, of course. Ideally, I'd love to run around in the park with your dog, but any area -- even just the plain old walk-around-the-block sidewalk -- provides opportunities for fun and learning! Fun activities aside from this would certainly include fun training sessions (I would love to experiment with shaping behavior in particular, which relies on the dog to "puzzle out" what you want). Everything else depends on what toys are available, if you have a yard, and so on and so forth. Cuddling and tummy rubs are great if your dog is into that :) !
