Experienced walker in Capitol Hill
Pet care experience
I’m 30 and I grew up in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. I’m fully vaccinated & boosted. In addition to dog walking, I sometimes work as an English tutor and a caregiver for my elderly grandmother. I have worked for Rover since 2018. I have been a dog person my entire life since I grew up with lots of dogs in my family. I have experience working with dogs of all types & temperaments. I used to work at Mud Bay pet food store in Seattle & received pet nutrition and behavior training from them. I have a 6 year old yorkie, who is very friendly & playful and loves kids & walks well with other dogs. He would love to join your dog for a walk or play date, subject to your approval. I have mostly open availability. I do not drive a car but I can usually take transport to areas close to Capitol Hill.
Reviews
Sabine has been great! Very reliable and flexible.
Sabine was super flexible and communicative when our flight was canceled and we had to change our dates last minute. We got lots of pictures, and Rosie had a great time - we came back to a very happy little dog!
Sabine was very helpful, she came and picked up the keys and met my pets ahead of time. She also checked on them during the ice storm and had to travel up to the top of the hill!
Super appreciate Sabine being available last minute to check in on our fur baby. She was friendly, easy to work with, and very communicative. Will use her again in the future!

At this time I only watch dogs in my client’s homes. It helps me if you give me detailed written instructions to follow before a dogsitting stay. I will follow your instructions to the T for your dog’s safety and happiness. If you like there’s an option for my dog or my boyfriend to join for dogsitting stays. I always make sure that my dog is the right fit for your pets. We can arrange a meet and greet to introduce them if you’re interested in this option. I sometimes ask if my boyfriend can also stay if it’s an extended stay or if you have two large dogs as it can be helpful to have extra hands. But all walking, feeding, and responsibility is my own. And all of this is subject to your comfort and preferences as the client. I have many clients whose pets have anxiety about other people and dogs, that I care for on my own. I take the needs of my clients and their pets very seriously. I am happy to give you any information you need to feel secure entrusting me with your pets.
Information Sabine B. would like to know about your pet
Are they reactive to people or other dogs? How well do they respond to a new dog walker? Would you like me to give them treats during the walk? Do they have any allergies? Can they play well with other dogs? How frequently do they need to be taken out for walks and potty breaks? Are you flexible about the start time? I’m happy to walk dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I just request that if they pull very strongly on leash or have aggression towards dogs or people that they be under a certain size for everyone’s safety since I am fairly petite. I don’t usually walk more than two dogs at one time. Usually I can only walk at most one very large strong dog or two smaller dogs at a time. I don’t usually care for cats because I have a moderate allergy but I can feed a cat during drop-in visits as long as you don’t need me to cuddle your cat. I can sometimes housesit for cats if the home is fairly clean and I take allergy medicine. I also sometimes take care of bunnies.
A typical day
I usually take my clients dogs for whatever length of walk you request and then we spend the remainder of the time as the dog wishes. We can go for extra long walks or shorter ones, whatever you wish. I have some older dogs I care for that prefer shorter walks. After the walk I usually spend some extra quality time with the dog either playing with toys or petting them. I can also give lots of cuddles and belly rubs. I always refill the dogs water bowl and give the dog any food requested by the client. If you like I can bring my little dog along for the walk or for playtime afterwards. This is optional.

Availability
I’m a full time dog walker and sitter at this time. I have a few regular dog clients I walk during week days between 11-3. I can walk additional dogs if it fits in my schedule and is in or close to Capitol Hill. I also do dogsitting jobs. Because of the walks I have scheduled I usually have to leave for 2-5 hours on weekdays. So if your dog has severe separation anxiety I cannot be with your dog 24/7 unless it’s a weekend or time when I don’t have other walks scheduled.
