Shy Dogs--My Specialty!
Pet care experience
Shy, timid dogs are my specialty: I love helping them feel secure, and it is a real joy watching them gain confidence then blossoming into having fun!! I've been training and spoiling my dogs and your dogs for 30 years. Your fur-kids are special to you and, also, to me. Your fur-kids enjoy the dog door for playing in my half-acre yard! No worries if they don't know a dog door--they learn fast! We are in and out all day (but no mothers to shout at us--hahaha)! Fun and pampering with all the love, tenderness, and patience they've earned taking care of their humans! SAFETY: I keep a close eye on your fur-kids: I'm experienced with early signs of illness and fear. Shot records and flea prevention must be up-to-date. I am very detail-oriented and appreciate your written care instructions and the vocabulary your pets need to feel safe and loved. I also provide lots and lots of verbal praise for each and every one of my fur-kids and your fur-kids. I send pictures to parents of our daily adventures, coziness, laughter, and cuddles! There's toys, dog beds and blankets galore.
Reviews
Ryn is so sweet and absolutely fantastic with our dog! Highly recommend! Will be rebooking with Ryn again!
Ryn was a great dog sitter! She sent pictures & let me know how my dog Abby was doing. Ryn is very trustworthy & great with dogs! I will definitely have her dog sit again! Thanks, Myra
Ryn took such great care of Sunshine for an entire week during our vacation to see our son in Asheville. She was flexible to allow us to come pick Sunshine up for visits and she kept us informed with messages and pictures. We’re very thankful to have found Ryn on Rover and will definitely reach out to her to keep Sunshine on our return trips in the future.
Ryn was so great with our dog! She sent frequent updates and clearly too very good care of our baby. Will definitely book a stay with her again!

I work part-time at home, so I'm here most of the time to take care of, supervise, love and play with your fur-kids. If you need Doggie Day Care, I'm here for most regular 8-5 work schedules and on weekends. Always plenty of love: belly rubs, cuddling, games, treats (if approved by doggie parent/s) and lots of fresh air! My dog door to the fenced-in secure yard assures your pets are always comfortable (potty-wise), and they have plenty of sunshine! Of course, we all play in the yard together. However, the dog door can also be locked, if that keeps parents more comfortable, with on leash potty breaks.

Information Ryn H. would like to know about your pet
Is the dog careful with smaller dogs? How strong is their prey drive for critters? Does the dog have any health issues? If so, what are the requirements to keep the pet safe, medicated, and comfortable? Does the dog have any phobias, such as thunderstorms, separation anxiety, men in hats, other races of people, fire works? If so, are there medications and/or procedures to keep your dog feeling as safe as possible? Does the pet resource-guard food, toys, people?
A typical day
My yard is approximately a half-acre fenced in, so there is plenty of room for playing ball or Frisby, chase and tag, zoomies, or just quietly exploring the many trees and bushes. Always big cool bowls of water. Rain: No problem--Inside, we play hide-and-seek with tiny treats and/or toys, and even fetch in the hall. Cuddling on the couch is always a favorite around here too! Additionally, there are two parks nearby for longer or more vigorous walks.

I work part-time at home, so I'm here most of the time to take care of, supervise, love and play with your fur-kids. If you need Doggie Day Care, I'm here for most regular 8-5 work schedules and on weekends. I have a half-acre fenced yard (4 foot high). I routinely check the fence and gates for possible escape problems, being very aware of how tiny a space a puppy or chihuahua can slip through. In addition, the backyard gate opens into another fenced area just in case a fur-kid is a "gate charger." Building trust, and making sure your fur-kids feel safe and happy with me is paramount! The best part of pet-sitting is always love: belly rubs, cuddling, games, treats (if approved by doggie parent/s) and lots of fresh air! My dog door to the fenced-in secure yard assures your pets are always comfortable (potty-wise), and they have plenty of sunshine! Of course, we all play in the yard together.
