Professional & Trustworthy Dog Care

Pet care experience

From luring her childhood dog over jumps in the backyard, to raising litters of puppies for law enforcement, to competing in Schutzhund (now known as IGP), Ryleigh has been training dogs from the moment she could walk. Having a special interest in learning and behavior led Ryleigh to an endless pursuit of knowledge in the field, and how it applies not just to dogs, but people as well. A graduate of The Tom Rose School, member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, student of the Karen Pryor Academy, repeat student at The Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers, and many more; Ryleigh is more than qualified to help dogs and their owners. Today, Ryleigh enjoys training her own dogs for competitive dog agility, obedience trials, and an exciting protection sport called Mondioring. She is also dedicated to the preservation of the Mudi, a herding breed from Hungary. Her most notable contribution being a co-breeder to the first Mudi ever on the carpet at America’s oldest, and arguably most famous dog show, The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. ***You may notice my daily rate is higher than other local options on Rover- this is because I am training your dog while they stay with us. Ryleigh is a fantastic caretaker and pet professional and one of the very few people I trust with my animals. She just understands dogs and knows how to communicate to where you feel safe and secure. I never have to worry about the well being of my pets with her well rounded approach to care and training. And I've been in the pet industry myself for years.

Information Ryleigh M. would like to know about your pet

> Proof of vaccinations are required. > What are your training goals? What would you like your dog to learn? > Does your dog have any allergies or food sensitivities we should be aware of?

A typical day

Traditional dog daycare environments can cause anxiety, over stimulation, reactivity, and can even be dangerous! Comparatively, the day school program at EQ dogs is highly structured and supervised by a trainer at all times. Your dog will learn to rest on a cot during breaks, take turns training and playing with other dogs, and be paired up with friends that match their energy level and play style. > Keeping play groups small and matching dogs together by similar play styles can prevent fights, keeps supervising trainers safe, and reduces overall stress. > Rotating between play, rest, and training periods throughout the day encourages self-regulation and reinforces healthy social habits. > Consistency is necessary for learning and maintaining good behaviors; day school ensures your dog's training success even when you're not around! > Mental exercise is just as important as physical exercise! I provide enrichment through safe activities such as scenting games, treadmill walks, and training challenges.
