Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Ryan! I live in a wonderful little back cottage in Berkeley with my partner Cheyenne. I work from home for a health tech startup and my partner Cheyenne is a Berkeley MPH student. We can't have a dog of our own at this point in our lives, but we love having furry friends around to hang out with and care for. We're both very active and I particularly love having running buddies, but more than anything we like to be able to have a good snuggle on the couch. Since we both have different schedules, one of us is home at almost all times of the day, which means there is usually someone around looking for someone (let's be honest, we treat them better than our friends) to hang out with. We can't wait to meet your furry little one!

Ryan did a great job looking after our girls for a couple of nights. Beezit, our older working breed dog can be intimidating (a bit too much herding and nipping of new folks in her house) but Ryan took it in stride and by the end of the stay they were buds. A fun extra bonus is that Ryan and my husband attended the same high school, albeit many many years apart. We’d hire Ryan again for sure.
Ryan was great! When we first met, he shared lots about himself and asked many good questions which really put us at ease. He recreated our doggo’s regular routine and showered her in love. We feel very fortunate to have connected with Ryan!

It's great to know a dog's routine, any quirks a dog might have, any rules that you have, and some of their favorite games, toys, and other things to do so that we can make sure they have a great stay while you're away!
A typical day
We usually start the morning with a walk and then will make breakfast while taking any calls or classes that we have early. The day usually a mixture of calls and class and work with a run somewhere in there if I can manage it! We usually cook at home and listen to music to decompress from the day, spending time hanging out together before getting to bed not too late to do it all again!

Availability
I'm currently working from home and my partner is a MPH student, so we both have flexibility in our schedules. We love having a dog around because it helps keep us more than anything regulating our schedules!
