Ryan was great with the dogs. He was new to us and made our shy dogs feel comfortable. He also did a great job on the grooming. Both came home clean and happy.

My experience with Ryan was not what I expected and was not a good fit for my high energy dog. His profile said that he only takes a few clients at a time but he massively over booked the week of spring break and told me he had 13 dogs in and out of his home that week. I wonder how much supervision and attention my dog actually received. I don’t think that he got any walks while staying with Ryan because when we picked him up, he told us he didn’t know how to put his gentle lead leash on. This was something I specifically asked when I brought him to the meet and greet and he told me he knew how it worked. One of the things that made me most uncomfortable was the fact that I was not allowed to see the space where my dog was staying. He said he doesn’t allow people in his home. I still booked because his reviews were so good and my normal sitters were at capacity that week. I only got updates or photos when I asked for them. When I did receive a photo, my dog looked nervous and unhappy. I didn’t get a single pic of him on a walk, or playing in the yard, or resting peacefully. Once I got him home, he had constant diarrhea (including in the house) for about 2 days. I’m giving him 2 stars because he gave my dog a nice bath and he texted me back quickly each time I reached out for updates. Otherwise, the whole experience was very unsettling and I spent my whole trip worrying about my dog.
